Tucker’s Tavern at Copper Mountain = Great Pizza!

Tucker’s Tavern at Copper Mountain, I checked the website and they refer to themselves as a little “hole in the wall”. Small and classic, Tucker’s Tavern may be referred to as a hole in the wall but they know food! As a transplanted New Yorker (been growing here in Colorado for 23 years) I was skeptical but I had a group of hungry Woodward go’ers and Pizza was the call out.

So back to the transplanted New Yorker thing. I am a pizza snob out and out. When I ordered two large pizzas I did not expect much, but whoa it sure looked darn good when it came out and I heard a lot of “mmmmm” going on before my lips hit the slice. Agreed “mmmmm”. This Pizza is good, really GOOD. Savory sauce; creamy, salty cheese and the crust… The crust took the yum factor over the top. The dough is herbed, not to thin or thick and plain old Excellent!

They say they have other good items on the menu and I believe them. They serve Hehnki’s beef From Paxton, Nebraska and pour Paulaner beer From Munich Germany. Top Sirloins, New York Strips, Rib-eye and Fillets are a headliner. Pasta, Sandwiches and Salads are also on the menu. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing and service was prompt and friendly. I loved the big game room complete with pool table too!

Tucker's

Here is how you find them. Located at Copper Mountain Resort exit 195 on Interstate 70 in Summit County Colorado. Tucker’s Tavern is in the Snowbridge Square building next to the chapel parking lot & liquor store off Copper’s main road in the center village. When you enter the resort proceed thru both stop signs and the Snowbridge Square building will be on your left 200 yards down the road. Free parking in front or use the chapel parking lot (summer only). I would make a bee line there after a day on Copper Mountains slopes, they are that good!
