Concert in the Park Series, Frisco

The Frisco Concerts in the Park return for 2013!  The Town of Frisco is proud to bring together great music for a great cause at the FREE Outdoor Concert in the Park Series at the Historic Park Gazebo & Lawn at 120 Main Street.  The concerts usually feature some of the hottest up-and-coming musical talent and are ready to get you moving to the beat in the mountains! Refreshments will be available for purchase to benefit the local non-profit designated for the evening. The Concerts in the Park are pet-friendly with leash; no alcohol is to be brought in from outside the event as beverages are available for sale to benefit the local non-profit organization. Crested Butte Wine & Food Festival, Crested Butte

Crested Butte Wine & Food Festival returns this summer better than ever with several wine seminars, two Celebrity Chef Tour dinners, a champagne brunch and an outdoor grand tasting with more than 500 select wines from 25 wineries and distributors. New this year is that the event benefits Crested Butte Center for the Arts, which is coordinating the event in partnership with Larimer Associates.
From “Wine 101” with visiting Master Sommelier Sean Razee to “Anything but Chardonnay – Unique Whites” with local Sommelier Judy Byron, there are topics to please any palate during six wine seminars held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In addition, Karen Hoskin of Montanya Distillers will offer an “Anyone Can Make an Artisan Cocktail” seminar for those who want to venture beyond the world of wine. On Sunday, the “Bursting with Bubbles Brunch” at East Side Bistro spotlights champagnes from around the world.
Evenings are devoted to a film screening that ties into the theme of wine presented by Crested Butte Film Festival on Thursday and Celebrity Chef Tour dinners on Friday and Saturday that also benefit the James Beard Foundation. The Friday evening dinner will be held in a private Crested Butte home starring Executive Chef Jason Vernon, owner of Soupçon Bistro, as the local host accompanied by Jorel Pierce (Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen, Denver), Kelly Whitaker (Basta, Denver) and Hosea Rosenberg (Blackbelly Catering, Boulder). The Saturday dinner will be held at Maxwell’s with Executive Chef Anthony Reichenbach hosting and joined by Mike Isabella (Graffiato, Washington, D.C.), Kelly Liken (Restaurant Kelly Liken, Vail) and Alex Seidel (Fruition, Denver).

Hardrock 100 Endurance Run, Telluride

Kidtopia Kids Theatre Presents: Golden, Keystone
On Friday mornings at the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater, Keystone’s River Run Village hosts GOLDEN. From the creators of The Red Cape and The Prince comes a new family musical based on the classic tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears, GOLDEN. GOLDEN reveals the true story of what really happened that fateful fairytale night. When the Bear family returns home from a short vacation, they find to their dismay that the village mischief-maker Goldie has broken into their home and caused a major ruckus. To seek help in curbing Goldie’s urge to usurp the villager’s things, the Bears recruit other victims in the village to help right the wrong and teach Goldie a lesson in personal boundaries and mutual respect. In the end, Goldie gets the ultimate intervention in this hilarious family musical that audiences of all ages will love.

Triple Bypass Ride, Evergreen & Avon

The Triple Bypass Bicycle Ride is in its 25th year and Team Evergreen Cycling is thrilled to announce that they will once again move forward with a two-day ride. This year Team Evergreen will have the traditional ride on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from Evergreen to Avon and the Sunday, July 14, 2013 ride from Avon to Evergreen.  For those truly interested in a heart-pounding experience, riders were able to complete both ride days in the “Double Triple Bypass.” With two ride days the total number of available entries is 5,000. 3,500 riders will be on the road Saturday, 2,500 riders on Sunday and out of these total riders 1,000 riders will be riding both days in the Double Triple Bypass.  For more information and/or registration please visit http://www.teamevergreen.org/triple

Breckenridge PRCA ProRodeo, Breckenridge

Come and bring your families. When the doors open at 3:30, the fun begins.
Bar-B-Que cowboy dinner is available from 3:30pm to 7:00pm.
PRCA ProRodeo Clown will be giving free behind the chutes tours on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00pm.  Before the rodeo, there is a chance to sign your kids up for the mutton busting or the calf scramble.
Rodeo starts at 5:00pm and lasts approx. 2 hours. The Breckenridge PRCA ProRodeo is every Saturday and Sunday evening through out the 2013 summer.  The rodeo is located at 730 Airport Rd., Breckenridge, CO 80424. 32nd Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo & 39th Annual Art in the Park, Steamboat Springs
The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park offer artistry and color both on canvases and in the air making them a staple of Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the summertime.  Get to the launch grounds early to see the balloons inflate, and if you’re lucky you may even be asked to help crew. Bud Light Hot Summer Nights, Vail

Celebrating 26 years of free concerts at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Bud Light Hot Summer Nights has become the social event of the season and the place to be for locals and visitors alike. The free Tuesday night concerts run June through August and heat up the town with bands who rock the house and keep the huge crowds dancing.
