Powabunga Music Festival
Powabunga – the inaugural music, mountain, and art festival in Vail, March 22-23, 2019 has an amazing lineup, featuring performances from viral powerhouse ZHU, Grammy-winning duo Bob Moses, Boombox, Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage, De Lux, ISHI and more. An immersive experience spanning the festival stage, the slopes of world-class Vail Mountain, and parts in between, Powabunga highlights Colorado’s uniquely vibrant mountain culture and the stunning beauty of the Vail Valley.
With two nights of music at Ford Park, large scale pop-up art installations, exclusive apres ski and post-show after-parties, and an over-the-top Costume Ski-Stravaganza, Powabunga promises a fun-filled weekend celebrating the joyful spirit and diverse offerings of the Rocky Mountains. Powabunga’s concert performances at Ford Park (522 S. Frontage Road E.) kick off at 4 PM each afternoon and continue until 10 PM.
Then, Powabunga hosts intimate afterparties—with artists including Justin Jay and Bob Moses (Club Set)—at select local venues. Saturday, March 23rd at noon sees the start of the Costume Ski-Stravaganza at Black Forest Ski Race Course on Vail Mountain. A costume-required ski event, the Ski-Stravaganza invites fans to get creative for some slopeside fun, with winners taking away prizes including skis, snowboards, an Epic Pass, and more. Costume categories include Best Overall, Best Duo, Best Denim, and Best Onesie. Fans looking to participate can register at Powabungafest.com.
