EvoSwing Golf Virtual Tip – Club Rotation

This week’s Virtual Tip is explores the rotation of the club face in the impact area of the golf swing.  Most amateurs attempt to keep the club face square to the target line for as long as possible during the swing and especially through the impact zone.,

What we will see in the comparison video is that the pros rotate the club face very quickly in the impact zone helping them to add more velocity to the swing and controlling the shape of the shot.

The two main keys to correct club face rotation are:

  1. Wait as long as possible in the downswing before rotating the face.
  2. Let it happen as quickly as possible by not gripping the club too tightly and letting the momentum of the swing move the face for you.

When working on retraining your club face rotation start with small swings and short clubs to build confidence and GRADUALLY work your way up to the longest clubs.
