Flat Out Fridays Downhill Race 2, Powderhorn Mountain Resort
Join us for our Flat Out Fridays series!
Race 2 Course: Ramble On / Blue Ribbon; best time of two laps
Racers will be timed by RFID chip start & finish. Categories will include Men’s or Women’s, Amateur, or Junior (15 & under) Division. On the day of the race, please check in at the Powderhorn Bike Shop from 11am – 2:30pm. Pick up your bib number and RFID tag to be placed on the left side of your bike, and receive lift queue times for your division.
All racers need to wear helmets and have a signed Mountain Use waiver to compete. Racer tickets are available at the Bike Shop for $29.
Powderhorn staff will be overseeing the organization and safety of these races. Any competitors engaging in unsafe or unsportsmanlike conduct can be disqualified from current and future races. We encourage all competitors to stick around for the awards celebration at the end of the day – relax, refuel, and drink a toast before you head home for the day. Have fun, be safe, and good luck!

Summer Lecture Series, Remembering Ludlow but Forgetting the Columbine , Frisco

Join Leigh Campbell-Hale of Lafayette History Museum for Remembering Ludlow but Forgetting the Columbine, in which she will examine the causes, context, and legacies of the 1927 Columbine Massacre in relation to the history of labor organizing and coal mining in both Colorado and the United States. While historians have written prolifically about the 1914 Ludlow Massacre, there has been a lack of attention to the violent event remembered now as the Columbine Massacre, in which police shot and killed six striking coal miners and wounded sixty more protestors during the 1927–1928 Colorado Coal Strike, even though its aftermath exerted far more influence upon subsequent national labor policies.

Grab your bike and pedal to the medal around a 25 mile loop ascending 5000 Feet. Solo competitors will have the option of 1 or 2 laps, or teams of 2 can race 1 lap each of the Audi Snowmass 50.
Previously known as Power of Four MTB Race, this race features 25 miles of some of the best single track mountain bike trails in Colorado. Divisions will be broken into 50-mile solo racer (two loops), 25-mile solo racer (one loop) and 50-mile teams of two where each rider completes one 25-mile lap.

This poker run is to help raise money and awareness for the Motorcycle Relief Project, a nonprofit organization that takes veterans and first responders on an off-road week-long adventure ride to help them cope with PTSD and other related issues. 100% of the money raised will go to MRP.
