Gaiascope Arrives in Mountain Village, Telluride
Einbender’s remarkable installation, Gaiascope, was recently commissioned for the 2026 World Cup celebrations in downtown San José and has now traveled to Heritage Plaza, where it will be on view from August 26 through October 23, 2026.
Created by the Mindbender Studio team, Gaiascope is an interactive public artwork featuring three suspended kaleidoscopic sculptures. Visitors are invited to look inside mirrored chambers where original video art, light, and reflection unfold into immersive worlds of shifting color and pattern.
For the complete illuminated and interactive experience, visit after sunset, when the lights switch on, and Gaiascope comes alive. Interactive pedestals allow visitors to change the colors, patterns, movement, and speed of the visuals within, making every encounter with the artwork unique.
Each presentation of Gaiascope is reimagined for its location through original, site-specific video art. For Telluride, Einbender created a visual tribute to the San Juan Mountains, weaving together imagery ranging from intricate patterns found in aspen leaves and wildflowers to sweeping alpine landscapes, combined with her original virtual reality artwork.
Located in the heart of Heritage Plaza, Gaiascope transforms one of Mountain Village’s central gathering places into a nightly interactive destination. Visitors of all ages are invited to look inside, experiment, and explore.
Free and open to the public, Gaiascope offers a new way to experience the San Juan Mountains through art, technology, light, and play.

CO150 Film Festival: Denver and Rio Grande, Silverton
Denver and Rio Grande tells the story of the fierce competition to build Colorado’s railroads, but its connection to Silverton runs much deeper. Filmed in and around Silverton and the San Juan Mountains, the movie captures the community and its dramatic landscapes as they looked more than seventy years ago.
Starring Edmond O’Brien, an Academy Award-winning actor known for The Barefoot Contessa and numerous classic film noirs, Sterling Hayden, remembered for Dr. Strangelove, and The Godfather, and Dean Jagger, Academy Award winner for Twelve O’clock High, Denver and Rio Grande brings together an exceptional cast to tell one of Colorado’s defining stories. Their performances, combined with breathtaking Colorado scenery, make this much more than a Western—it is a celebration of the determination, ambition, and rugged landscapes that helped shape the American West.

Art Salon Night, Telluride
Salon Nights are inspired by the legendary Parisian salons – those lively gatherings where artists, thinkers, and dreamers came together to debate, collaborate, and inspire the movements that shaped art and culture. We’re bringing that spirit into the present and rooting it here in Telluride.
These are evenings for conversation and connection, not lectures or formal programming. They are casual, open, and intentionally unstructured, designed to create the atmosphere where ideas can collide, new friendships form, and creativity sparks. Imagine an evening where musicians talk with writers, painters meet photographers, filmmakers share stories with ceramicists – and the unexpected happens!

John Denver Celebration, Aspen/Snowmass
Here’s what you can expect if you come to the John Denver Celebration in Aspen. Events vary from year to year. In the past, they had luncheon concerts at one of the top restaurants in the valley, hayrides, campfires, large venue concerts, smaller venue concerts, nightly sing-a-longs, hikes, wonderful new friendships and a week of music and entertainment that will last a lifetime.
Off season in October is a great time to experience Aspen at a discount with some of the fall colors. Once in Aspen you will meet plenty of wonderful new friends, who are also John Denver fans, who will help direct you to great events, hikes, and other free events. Some favorite locations folks like to visit is the place where the Rocky Mountain High album cover picture was taken on the Roaring Fork, the beautiful serenity of the John Denver Sanctuary, the scenic Maroon Bells, the Windstar land conservancy in Snowmass, and many more scenic areas in the region.
