USASA Snowboard National Championships, Copper Mountain
From March 31 – April 12, Copper Mountain Resort is proud to host the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) National Championships. Almost 2,000 ski and snowboard athletes are set to descend onto the resort for 12 days to compete in disciplines such as GS, SL, slopestyle, boarder/ski cross, halfpipe and rail jam. USASA is a non-profit grassroots organization with 32 regional divisions nationwide. Each of these divisions support athletes of all ages and abilities in local and regional competitions. These events are held in order to not only garner points to qualify for the National Championships but build life skills meant to last. USASA strives to provide a platform for athletes to progress competitively in an environment that’s encouraging and fun.

This is the Most Eggcellent of excellent 5Ks – an 80s themed 5k! Bring out your pastel, your shoulder pads, your blue eyeshadow, and that big hair! We cannot wait to see your spirit! We will start at McPhelemy Park, and then runners will travel west on Crossman Avenue (CR 350). They will take a right and journey through The Meadows Farm, taking in the sweet sounds of the babbling creek (as long as it’s not frozen over)! Then runners will come out on West Main Street and head east back towards the finish line at McPhelemy Park. This run is stroller friendly! There may be a few bumpy sections on trail, but overall it’s very smooth. We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and everything in between!

Our kids are going to have a stellar time at our Easter Egg Hunt! The series is open to all cyclists, regardless of skill level or experience. The Winter Bike Series will feature a variety of courses, from scenic rides through the city to challenging climbs in the hills. The rides are free, but there is a suggested donation of $10 per ride. All proceeds will go to the Cloud City Wheelers, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to cycling for people of all ages and abilities, and building and maintaining year-round trails in Lake County.

The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat’s traditional rite of spring returns to the Steamboat Ski Area for the 41styear. Bucket Banked Slalom, Winter Park Resort
The Bucket Banked is a banked slalom snowboard race and fundraiser held in the memory and spirit of Grand County native and Winter Park Competition Center alum, Ben Lynch. Join us April 8 for the banked slalom snowboard event and silent auction. Proceeds to benefit the Grand Foundation’s H.O.P.E. Fund (Healing Opportunities through Prevention Efforts). The H.O.P.E. Fund is dedicated to supporting and expanding Grand County mental health advocacy and services, substance abuse prevention and recovery services, and access to outdoor recreation as a protective factor to support mental and physical well-being. Through event entries, silent auction, and donation match from Winter Park, the event raised nearly $16,000 for the H.O.P.E. Fund in 2022.
What is a banked slalom race? A banked slalom is a snowboard race held on a curvy course, with tight banked turns. One racer runs the course at a time, and each racer gets two runs. Best of two is the time used for final results

The Easter Bunny will return to Frisco Main Street on Easter Sunday to hide 5,000 Easter eggs for Frisco’s 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Clauson Classic, Silverton Mountain
“Be Like John” is a motto at Silverton Mountain. John Clauson was our Assistant Snow Safety director, guide and friend. No mission was too hard, no load was too much, and nothing couldn’t be done without a smile and a humble admiration for the beauty of the San Juan Mountains.
This is an endurance style race, taking place on April 9th, where we have 2 check points on the mountain and racers see how many times they can lap each checkpoint. The event brings awareness to and benefits Be The Match, which is a bone marrow registry. This event started after long time patroller and snow safety director, John Clauson, passed away from Lukemia. This event is $25 for our season pass holders, if you need an unguided ticket for the day you can get both for $124.

International Honeybee Festival, Palisade
The Palisade International Honeybee Festival (PIHF) is a community driven festival created in 2008 to educate the public about the world-wide crisis on colony collapse and to support of a healthy honeybee population worldwide and its impact on agriculture in the Grand Valley, Colorado and the world.
The PIHF brings awareness to the honeybee crisis through education and the arts. Our goal is to increase public awareness of the impact of bees on our food sources and the wide range of benefits of bee products.
We strive to have Palisade’s fruit and wine industries represent our mission as a thriving agricultural community and work with artists and artisans – from chefs to sculptors – to achieve our goals.

Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, Durango
