The Polar Express Train, Durango
Join the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for the holiday classic, The Polar Express Train Ride, a magical theatrical interpretation of the classic tale of a child’s Christmas Eve journey to the North Pole featuring a ride on a steam locomotive. Enjoy hot chocolate and a sweet treat while experiencing onboard entertainment on your way to the North Pole to pick up Santa! Once onboard, Santa will visit each coach and bestow the first gift of Christmas on the return trip.

HART (The Holiday Art Market) is a cool shopping destination for one-of-a-kind artisan gifts. The entire historic Gothic Church and manse is filled with works from more than 100 local Colorado artists, offering the highest craftsmanship in fine ceramics, fiber, glasswork jewelry, paintings, woodworking, photography, and special holiday items. What is Wassail Days?
Wassail Days is Frisco’s super fun celebration of all things winter and the holidays, celebrated by local businesses offering unique wassail recipes to sample. Wassail Days is also a competition among businesses serving Wassail.
What Is Wassail?
Wassail is a hot, spiced cider served over the holidays and shared among friends and neighbors.
What do you do during Frisco Wassail Days?
Drink wassail of course! From Saturday, November 25 – Sunday, December 3, 2023, local businesses serve up their own secret version of wassail. Guests are encouraged to taste at least 12 different types of wassail at 12 different locations and fill their “12 Sips of Wassail Card.” Once the “12 Sips” card is filled out, guests can redeem it at the Frisco/Copper Information Center for a commemorative Frisco Wassail Days mug, while supplies last.

Ranked as the number one overall stop by the athletes and coaches who participate, the Beaver Creek Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup returns Dec. 1-3, 2023.
The festivities of BC World Cup weekend celebrate “Where Winter Begins” in North America. This year’s event is scheduled to include live music, beer tastings, ski films, parties, sponsor activation and much more in the heart of Beaver Creek Village on what is dubbed “Birds of Prey Way”.

There will be fine art and amazing crafts at this 3 day event!

Annual kick off to the Gunnison Holiday season. Main Street will be closed to traffic for the lighting of the community tree. Santa lights the tree at 6:30pm. If you would like to display your organization, business on the street for the event call the chamber at 970 641 1501. Join in the Holiday festivities ! Visit with Santa at the Elks Club after the tree lighting.

From November 10 to January 7, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park transforms into a winter wonderland — for our annual Winter on the Mountain celebration! What’s in store? Live music and entertainment, a half-million magical lights, ice sculptures, rides, attractions, delicious food and drink and visits from Santa are all on tap for the upcoming season.
Although Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves are busy with North Pole operations and seasonal changes right now (not unlike our operations crew at the Adventure Park) we have received confirmation that Santa and the Mrs. will be on hand on the following dates, from 4-7 p.m.:

First Friday Holiday Lighting & Art Market, Silverthorne
The Town of Silverthorne will be celebrating holiday cheer with its annual tree lighting ceremony as part of December’s First Friday festivities. The community event will take place on Friday, Dec. 1. The event will include holiday carolers and music and holiday crafts. Community members will also be able to visit with Santa himself. In addition, attendees can shop for everyone on their list at the holiday art market, featuring local artists spread across the Silverthorne Pavilion.

The Telluride Arts Holiday Bazaar, established in 1983, is a lively holiday tradition that showcases locally made arts, fine crafts, and artisan foods made in the Telluride region for an ultimate local art shopping experience. This year, the event will be held at the Ah Haa School for the Arts.

Summit for Life, Aspen/ Snowmass
In this exciting event, participants race from the base of Aspen Mountain all the way to the top! Racers will climb 3,267 vertical feet over the course of 2.5 miles—at night! All participants will receive a racer bag, and top racers and fundraisers will be awarded for their efforts with amazing prizes! The post-race party will take place at the Sundeck Restaurant, with dinner provided by The Little Nell, live music, and awards presented for top fundraisers and racers with the fastest time. Registration for the Summit for Life ends on December 1st at 5 PM MST.

Lighting of Breckenridge & Race of the Santas, Breckenridge
Breckenridge ups the ante on small town holiday charm with the return of Lighting of Breckenridge and Race of the Santas. The first weekend of December kicks off a festive holiday scene in the streets of Breckenridge.  Hundreds of Santa look-alikes will run down Main Street in a race to kick-off the holiday season.  Hang out post-race to watch the town transform into a real life holiday card thanks to more than 13,000 feet and 250,000 LED holiday lights. The iconic holiday lights in downtown Breckenridge are one of the most photographed sights during the snowy months and continue to shine and spread hope all winter long.

Christmas on Broadwayis an extremely charming event that transforms downtown Eagle into a Christmas village on the first Saturday of December. The event features a traditional parade, Santa Claus, floats, and decorate vehicles. Some of the activities that the event offers are a Santa’s Workshop, a Live Nativity, a blazing bonfire, and live music. Christmas on Broadway has been coordinated for more than a quarter of a century.

Show your devotion at the Main Street parade and become part of history at the longest Shotski® “unofficial” World Record breaking attempt. WassailFest, Eagle
WassailFest is held in conjunction with Christmas on Broadway beginning the Thursday following Thanksgiving through the first Saturday of December.
What is Wassail (sounds like ‘wassle’)?
In Old English, the word meant ‘be you healthy’; it came to be known as hot mulled cider,traditionally drunk during wassailing, a medieval ritual intended to ensure a good cider apple harvest the following year.
Businesses provide visitors with free cups of Wassail and then the visitors compare the various Wassail recipes and vote for their favorite.  The business receiving the most votes is the Wassail Meister for the year and receives a hand-carved trophy to display in their business until the next WassailFest.

In select months, we will close down Broadway Street to vehicular traffic for a street festival featuring local artists, businesses, and food trucks. Goods in the Woods: A Holiday Marketplace, Keystone Resort
Goods in the Woods is a recurring arts fair held at Warren Station in Keystone. This holiday marketplace features local artists paired with live music throughout the afternoon. Attendees can sip on a drink special from the Warren Station bar while strolling and enjoying specialty curated local art, and they have the chance to meet the artists who share their inspiration and process. This is the perfect opportunity to pick up the perfect holiday present for friends and family.
All artwork is available for sale and includes various mediums such as photography, painting, woodwork, ceramics, graphic prints, handmade jewelry, homemade cookies, recycled gifts, clothing, and more. Visitors can ski in the mountains in the morning and then support the local art community in the afternoon. It’s a perfect setting for an afternoon of shopping and live music. This event provides the ideal occasion for purchasing one-of-a-kind holiday gifts for oneself and loved ones.

Mountain Village is being transformed once again into the North Pole for this year’s Holiday Prelude celebration on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023. This year promises a great kick-off to the holiday season with train rides, sitting with Santa, ice skating and children’s holiday surprises around every corner.
Holiday Prelude is a collaborative effort between Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association, Town of Mountain Village, Telluride Ski & Golf Company, and local merchants to transform Mountain Village into the regional destination for holiday fun and activities.

Please join us on December 9th from 6-10 PM for an enchanting evening of food, festivity, and fun! The Headwaters Center in downtown Winter Park is hosting its second annual Rocky Mountain Yule Celebration! Get dressed up, dance the night away with live music, and participate in a silent auction just in time to secure unique holiday gifts for the family. Enjoy the band, a buffet dinner, and two drink tickets with your $125 admission ticket. All proceeds from admission, bar, and silent auction to benefit the Headwaters River Journey Museum 501c 3 and other local water conservation education initiatives.

The parade returns in 2022 for one spectacular day with all the favorites including elves, marching bands, floats, Victorian carolers, antique cars, the Grinch, Buffalo Bill and, of course, Santa. The parade route runs along Washington Avenue. from 10th Street to 13th Street starting at 10:30 a.m. After the parade, grab lunch at one of the many restaurants lining Washington Avenue, or shop the galleries, boutiques and stores of colorful historic downtown Golden.

The Queen’s Cartoonists Holiday Hurrah, Riverwalk Center – Breckenridge

Keenly aware of all things holiday-oriented and completely ridiculous, musical ensemble The Queen’s Cartoonists have set out to find the best of the best (and best of the worst) holiday-related cartoons, films, and jazz. The show includes traditional holiday vocal numbers (“White Christmas”, “Jingle Bells”, you know… the regular stuff), paired with jazz arrangements and festive animated films. There’s also a good amount of novelty and comedy (Spike Jones is due for a revival anytime now, we just know it!).

Curling comes BACK to Snowmass for the Game of Stones curling series, Thursdays at the Snowmass Base Village Ice Rink! Beginning December 22, 2022 teams of two can take turns sliding each of their four, 40 pound granite rocks (also called stones) down the ice rink towards the target, “button”. One point is awarded for each stone closest to the Button. The stones must be within the house to be considered for points and the team that reaches 10 points first is crowned the winner! 
Game of Stones registration occurs at the ice skating rink prior to the event.
To register you must be 18 years or older.

The Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade will start at the top of the Gondola and head down into the Mountain Village core. Watch as Telluride Ski & Snowboard School instructors meander down the mountain with torches to light up the mountainside. Best viewed from the base of Lift 4 area.

Winter Park’s most beloved holiday tradition, the Torchlight Parade! Join us for an evening filled with Holiday cheer, from photos with Santa to caroling throughout the village. Stay warm by the bonfire while enjoy the firework display and torchlight parade illuminating the night sky.
This year’s event will take place on Hughes. Red Chair plaza and the base area in front of Larry Sale will be the best viewing areas.
Santa Claus is coming to Winter Park Resort! Get a free printed photo of you and your family with Santa at the Village Gazebo from 1 – 4pm.
Stop by the Hot Chocolate Bar at Bradley’s or next to the Gondola before the show for a tasty warm-up! Regular and spiked hot chocolate available.

10th Mountain Legacy Parade to commemorate the founders of Vail Mountain.

Audi Ajax Cup, Aspen/Snowmass
Join us for a nail-biting dual GS race in which sixteen teams race head-to-head until one team is named the winner and awarded the famed Gorsuch Cup – all while benefitting AVSC.
Benefiting the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s 3,000-plus athletes, the Audi Ajax Cup features head-to-head slalom races on Little Nell Hill at Aspen Mountain followed by an exclusive après ski party at Chica Aspen. The Audi Ajax Cup is the pinnacle event of the Holiday Season in Aspen and helps raise $2.5 million dollars in financial aid to support local athletes.

New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade, Purgatory Resort
Ski Beach at Purgatory Resort #1 skier place, Durango, CO, United States
Purgatory’s favorite holiday tradition! From 6:00pm-6:30pm at the Base Area, patrollers and ski instructors will be coming down the mountain, lighting up the night with bright torchlights. Once the parade has finished, stick around for the fireworks show!

New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Light Up Snow Cat Parade, Steamboat Springs Resort
Celebrate the new year in style! Kick off the evening with a Light Up Snow Cat parade and featuring Steamboat SnowSports Instructors performing synchronized skiing illuminated by the light of torches. At the conclusion of the parade fireworks will light up the sky over the resort to ring in 2024.

New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks, Telluride
Watch as Telluride Ski and Snowboard School instructors meander down the mountain with torches to light up the mountainside while fireworks light up the sky above. Torchlight Parades are visible on both sides of the resort: Mountain Village and Telluride and both begin at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin shortly after the torchlight parades and are best viewed from the Mountain Village core.
