USASA Snowboard National Championships, Copper Mountain
From March 31 – April 12, Copper Mountain Resort is proud to host the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) National Championships. Almost 2,000 ski and snowboard athletes are set to descend onto the resort for 12 days to compete in disciplines such as GS, SL, slopestyle, boarder/ski cross, halfpipe and rail jam. USASA is a non-profit grassroots organization with 32 regional divisions nationwide. Each of these divisions support athletes of all ages and abilities in local and regional competitions. These events are held in order to not only garner points to qualify for the National Championships but build life skills meant to last. USASA strives to provide a platform for athletes to progress competitively in an environment that’s encouraging and fun.  
Woodward and Copper’s ongoing commitment to empower and inspire youth through sports, community, and culture is demonstrated as 1500+ snowboard and freeski athletes from across the U.S. come together to compete in the winter season finale

The second annual Ultimate Après Avon is a new and not-to-miss end of ski season event! Soon to be a premiere spring event in Avon, Colorado bringing a bunch of breweries for tastings, live music, a VIP area, and scrumptious offerings from local food vendors. Enjoy a weekend of playing outdoors and a Saturday afternoon of wine, hard seltzers, canned cocktails, ciders, spirits and lots of beer tastings from some of Colorado’s finest breweries & other breweries from around the world with amazing views of Beaver Creek! The Ultimate Après Avon Festival is sure to become a tradition for a wide range of people from beer aficionados to families.

Pond Skim, Crested Butte Mountain Resort
What’s better than a pond skim? A pond skim on April Fool’s Day! Join us as we send off the season in style on April 1st.
The end of ski season is just another great excuse to celebrate, dress up in silly costumes and have wacky events, like the Pond Skim, where competitors attempt to skim across a man-made pond with their skis and snowboards. Join in our Closing Weekend fun and go out with a splash! Check-in/registration begins at 11am and the skim will get started at 1pm. Prizes for Best Costume, Best Splash, Best Style and more so bring your A-game!

2023 Frisco As I Remember Project, Frisco
In honor of the Museum’s 40th Anniversary, the 2023 Frisco As I Remember project focuses on expanding the Museum’s historical record from the 1940s to the present through community-focused events, including a letter-writing campaign.
Throughout the coming months, the Museum will host community history talks, share photographs, and connect with current and former residents and visitors to gather their memories and favorite stories of Frisco. Keep an eye out for new events throughout the year!

Proceeds from Edesia benefit MarillacHealth, Mesa County’s Community Health Center that provides a wide range of primary healthcare services to people of all ages, regardless of income or insurance status. Your support helps Mesa County residents receive medical, dental and behavioral healthcare and be well.
In its tenth year, Edesia contributes more each year to support Marillac’s integrated, high quality care. Thanks to our guests for their generosity!

Closing Weekend and Pond Skim, Powderhorn Mountain Resort
It’s our final weekend of the season!
For closing day, we will once again be replacing the lower park with a pond skim! Wear a crazy costume, give it your best shot, and have the camera rolling – this event is sure to make a splash! Signups and waivers are required to participate.

Back by popular demand! Enjoy this rare opportunity for spectacular views and a unique mountaintop culinary experience by booking a snowcat dining excursion. Guests will enjoy views of the alpenglow over the Needles Mountains from an enclosed snowcat as it ascends the trails on the way to a five-course meal. The annual Cody’s Challenge, a randonee endurance ski race, allows participants the opportunity to climb, traverse and descend a variety of trails across the mountain under their own power using specialized bindings and skins. The Cody St. John Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Cody St. John, who was a professional patroller at Steamboat.

NASTAR National Championships, Aspen/Snowmass
The NASTAR National Championships return to Snowmass, April 2-8, 2023. The Championships were first held at Snowmass in 1998 and again during the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons!
NASTAR offers recreational racing at resorts across the country and participants can compete and compare their scores to friends and family regardless of when and where they race.

Join the Town of Silverthorne for a special 80s themed April First Friday Rollerama event at the Silverthorne Recreation Center on Friday, April 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Community members will enjoy free roller skating rink, free skate rentals and free use of the Silverthorne Recreation Center, as well as face painting, crafts, themed aerobic and dance classes and more. April First Friday will also celebrate Silverthorne’s Boot Gordon, who turns 99 years young this spring.

Most Eggcellent 5K & Easter Egg Hunt, Buena Vista
This is the Most Eggcellent of excellent 5Ks – an 80s themed 5k!  Bring out your pastel, your shoulder pads, your blue eyeshadow, and that big hair! We cannot wait to see your spirit! We will start at McPhelemy Park, and then runners will travel west on Crossman Avenue (CR 350). They will take a right and journey through The Meadows Farm, taking in the sweet sounds of the babbling creek (as long as it’s not frozen over)! Then runners will come out on West Main Street and head east back towards the finish line at McPhelemy Park. This run is stroller friendly! There may be a few bumpy sections on trail, but overall it’s very smooth. We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and everything in between!
Easter Egg Hunt:
Our kids are going to have a stellar time at our Easter Egg Hunt! This event will be held on the lawn at McPhelemy Park, We will have different areas for different age groups so that everyone, from our little tykes to our big kids, will be able to find those eggs and have the Most Eggcellent fun. Bring your own bag, basket, or tote to collect the goods.

Georgetown Loop Opens for the Season, Georgetown
All Aboard! Come experience a little bit of History as beautiful views of the Colorado Rocky Mountains surround you. A steam locomotive or powerful diesel locomotive will take you through the breathtaking Clear Creek canyon, and past the remains of gold and silver mines. The Georgetown Loop is great family fun for kids of all ages.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt 2023, Kremmling
The Great Easter Egg Hunt, is a fun spin on the traditional Easter Egg hunt. 
Come to the Town Square for your passport to fun. This will take you around to different businesses. They will have fun activities, prizes, crafts or other cool Easter themed fun. Then head back to the park for more prizes, the Easter Bunny, Bounce Houses, Kona Ice and after 3:00PM we will do the Egg Drop and continue the fun!!

April 8, 2023, Leadville Winter Mountain Bike Series – East Side Epic, LeadvilleThe Cloud City Wheeler’s Winter Mountain Bike Race Series returns with monthly events from January to April, 2023. The series is open to all cyclists, regardless of skill level or experience. The Winter Bike Series will feature a variety of courses, from scenic rides through the city to challenging climbs in the hills. The rides are free, but there is a suggested donation of $10 per ride. All proceeds will go to the Cloud City Wheelers, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to cycling for people of all ages and abilities, and building and maintaining year-round trails in Lake County.
It could be raining, snowing, or dirt, but this race is guaranteed to be epic. This course is a local’s favorite with all its climbing and descending. 9:00 AM.

Brewski, Silverton Mountain
Join us on Saturday, April 8th for Brewski! This event offers participants a full day of skiing at Silverton Mountain and an afternoon of beer tasting with Colorado’s favorite breweries. Participating breweries have included: Avalanche Brewing Co. Elevation Beer Co. Ska Brewing, Steamworks, Cravers, Three Rivers Brewery… and many more! The day begins at 9:00 am with Unguided Skiing with tasting beginning at 2:30 PM… $20 Includes pint glass and drink tickets. Package the day for $119 with lift ticket and Brewski entry.

41st Annual Cardboard Classic, Steamboat Springs Resort
The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat’s traditional rite of spring returns to the Steamboat Ski Area for the 41styear. This wild and hilarious race features homemade cardboard crafts, constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape, masking tape, balloons and other decorations, racing down Stampede to a hysterical finish. The uniqueness and creativity of the race make it an event looked forward to each year.

The Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships Hits Steamboat once again on Sunday, April 9th! Celebrating another fantastic season at Steamboat, this event has antics like you wouldn’t believe. The Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships brings brave (and slightly crazy) skiers and riders in costume with a dream – of crossing the icy pond successfully – and, if they’re lucky, with style!

Bucket Banked Slalom, Winter Park Resort
The Bucket Banked is a banked slalom snowboard race and fundraiser held in the memory and spirit of Grand County native and Winter Park Competition Center alum, Ben Lynch. Join us April 8 for the banked slalom snowboard event and silent auction. Proceeds to benefit the Grand Foundation’s H.O.P.E. Fund (Healing Opportunities through Prevention Efforts). The H.O.P.E. Fund is dedicated to supporting and expanding Grand County mental health advocacy and services, substance abuse prevention and recovery services, and access to outdoor recreation as a protective factor to support mental and physical well-being. Through event entries, silent auction, and donation match from Winter Park, the event raised nearly $16,000 for the H.O.P.E. Fund in 2022.
What is a banked slalom race? A banked slalom is a snowboard race held on a curvy course, with tight banked turns. One racer runs the course at a time, and each racer gets two runs. Best of two is the time used for final results

Easter Egg Hunt, Frisco
The Easter Bunny will return to Frisco Main Street on Easter Sunday to hide 5,000 Easter eggs for Frisco’s 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children 8 years old and younger are invited to search for candy stuffed eggs throughout the Frisco Historic Park and the Frisco Town Hall areas. The Easter Egg Hunt with begin at 12:00pm when the Easter Bunny rings the historic schoolhouse bell. The Easter Bunny will visit with children before and after the egg hunt on Main Street. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras for selfies with the furry guy.

Loveland’s Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt! Loveland Ski Area
Join us on Easter Sunday for a Spring Skiing Giant Easter Egg Hunt! Gather at the Basin area for first chair at 8:30am and keep your eyes peeled for the giant hidden Easter Eggs as you ski down the slopes, browse the Sport Shop, and wander the base area. Huge eggs mean huge prizes such as skis, snowboards, and tons of other awesome goodies. There are a limited number of these giant Easter Eggs hidden around the Basin and only one can be claimed per person. There will also be thousands of small eggs for the little ones around the base area.

Clauson Classic, Silverton Mountain
“Be Like John” is a motto at Silverton Mountain. John Clauson was our Assistant Snow Safety director, guide and friend. No mission was too hard, no load was too much, and nothing couldn’t be done without a smile and a humble admiration for the beauty of the San Juan Mountains.
This is an endurance style race, taking place on April 9th, where we have 2 check points on the mountain and racers see how many times they can lap each checkpoint.  The event brings awareness to and benefits Be The Match, which is a bone marrow registry.  This event started after long time patroller and snow safety director, John Clauson, passed away from Lukemia. This event is $25 for our season pass holders, if you need an unguided ticket for the day you can get both for $124.

Back this year April 14-16, 2023. This weekend is known for phenomenal expert-only skiing, networking, inspiration and education. It has been featured numerous ski publications like Freeskier Magazine and Powder Magazine also name Best Ski Camps For Women (although it is not like a traditional camp). Come for the skiing and get inspired by the speakers and the sisterhood of Silverton’s mountain women. This weekend starts at $30 for participants with an unguided season pass and $228 for two days skiing, avalanche equipment rentals, speakers, swag bags and more.

International Honeybee Festival, Palisade
The Palisade International Honeybee Festival (PIHF) is a community driven festival created in 2008 to educate the public about the world-wide crisis on colony collapse and to support of a healthy honeybee population worldwide and its impact on agriculture in the Grand Valley, Colorado and the world.
The PIHF brings awareness to the honeybee crisis through education and the arts. Our goal is to increase public awareness of the impact of bees on our food sources and the wide range of  benefits of bee products.
We strive to have Palisade’s fruit and wine industries represent our mission as a thriving agricultural community and work with artists and artisans – from chefs to sculptors – to achieve our goals.

Friday night, there will be free concert for everyone to enjoy, followed by hours of concerts at night. During the Meltdown, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to jam with other musicians – in hallways, on sidewalks, and many other locations. Don’t play? Relax and enjoy the scene!
The Durango Arts Center, Wildhorse Saloon, and and other popular venues all provide outstanding venues to listen to bluegrass artists from across the country.
The Meltdown has something for everyone – including young folks! From our Bluegrass in the Schools program, to children’s workshops and the Old Time Barn Dance, there’s a lot for the younger set to do. Kids 12 and under are FREE!

Southwest Arbor Fest, Grand Junction
Grand Junction’s favorite spring festival is back on Saturday, April 22. Featuring food trucks for your gastro delight along with a Colorado Craft Beer Expo. New this year is electronics recycling and a cornhole tournament. All ages can experience vendors, live music, food, and fun. Arbor Day activities will include a tree seedling give-away, tree auctions, and Arbor information.

Brews for Rescues Brewfest, Pagosa Springs
SW Colorado’s first Dog-Centric beer fest that is just as much for your dog as it is for you!
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, the region’s favorite breweries will come to Pagosa Springs, Colorado to showcase some of their best craft-beer and raise money for Rugby’s Rescue House, an amazing non-profit organization. 
Rugby’s Rescue is a small non-profit rescue dedicated to “Rescuing, Saving, and Repeating” the process.  Their main focus is rescuing dogs from surrounding Native American Reservations
