The Beaver Creek Running Series Snowshoe Edition draws first-time snowshoers, world class snowshoe athletes, and everyone in between
Challenge yourself to a race like no other! The Beaver Creek Running Series: Snowshoe Edition draws first-time snowshoers, world class snowshoe athletes, and everyone in between with a series of courses that highlight the sparkling beauty of Beaver Creek in winter. Join for a single race or the entire series with the 10K course or the 5K course. Races are Sundays, January 5th, February 2nd, and March 1st. Registration will be between 8:30AM. and 9:30AM and the race will start promptly at 10:00AM. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female athletes overall and the top male and female athlete in each age bracket for the 5K and 10k races. All athletes will be entered into the raffle at the post-party where you will also receive a post-race meal. Whether you’re running for a medal or for fun, come out and enjoy the beauty of snowshoeing through an incredible setting.

Join us for a five-part series of uphill challenges Tuesday mornings in November, December and January. Challenge yourself to all six or pick and choose which morning works the best for you and your workout schedule. Starting in Mountain Goat Plaza at 10,780’ and finishing near the Summit at 12,474’, with twists and turns along the way, the early morning Rise and Shine Rando Races are a fun and challenging way to start your day!
The race will start at 7:00 a.m. in Mountain Goat Plaza (check-in begins at 6:00 a.m. in the Rental Shop). Pricing

Challenge yourself to all six or pick and choose which morning works the best for you and your workout schedule. Starting in Mountain Goat Plaza at 10,780’ and finishing near the Summit at 12,474’, with twists and turns along the way, the early morning Rise and Shine Rando Races are a fun and challenging way to start your day!

NSAA Safety Village, Arapahoe Basin
Join us in the Safety Village in Mountain Goat Plaza to celebrate NSAA’s Skier Safety Week Saturday, January 12th and Sunday, January 13th from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. 
Arapahoe Basin’s Avalanche Rescue Dogs will be in the Safety Village and then have some cake while learning more about skier and rider safety on the mountain. Show us that you “Know the Code” and get a Jr. Ski Patrol Badge! We are running a campaign in conjunction with the National Ski Area Association called “Ride another Day.”

* The 6th Alley Bar & Grill will remain open for happy hour until the lift begins turning.
6:45-7:00 p.m.: Loading begins on the Black Mountain Express lift
7:00 p.m.: Doors open at Black Mountain Lodge
10:00 p.m.: Dinner service ends; begin downloading on Black Mountain Express
This is a lift-served event. Guests are also welcomed to hike or snowshoe to and from mid-mountain.

The Torah Bright Mini Shred is coming to Makaha Park at Snowmass!
Olympic and Xgame Medalist and Aspen Snowmass ambassador Torah Bright will host her next Mini Shred in Aspen Snowmass on January 11, 2020. This event is free to join for both riders and skiers ages 7-17.
Participants must be an intermediate level rider or skier to participate, helmets are required.

International Snow Sculpture Championships, Breckenridge
During the Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships, 16 teams from around the world descend on Breckenridge, Colorado to hand-carve 20-ton blocks of snow into enormous, intricate works of art. Artists are only allowed to use hand tools, creativity and inspiration to bring their ideas to life. No power tools allowed! Teams sculpt countless hours across five days (totaling around 96 hours), resulting in a temporary outdoor art gallery in historic downtown Breckenridge!
This is and has always been a free event open to the general public.

The world’s premier winter action sports event returns to Aspen Snowmass January 23-26, 2020. Watch as snowsports’ greatest ski, snowboard & snowmobile athletes’ battle for glory in 18 different disciplines over four days.
