The 3rd Annual Frisco Triathlon will be on Saturday, July 16. This unique triathlon will feature a 3k stand up paddle board leg, 15k of mountain biking and a 5k trail run. The Frisco Triathlon was named “Best Triathlon” in Elevation Outdoors Magazine’s reader poll, 2016 Best of the Rockies. The final race of the Frisco summer race season is the Run the Rockies Trail 10k and Half Marathon on Saturday, August 13. This race will lead runners throughout the Frisco Peninsula on trails with breathtaking views of Dillon Reservoir, the Gore Range and the Ten Mile Range. This has been proven to be a great course for first time half marathoners, as well as seasoned runners.

“To be part of a 40 year old race is pretty special. The Run the Rockies 10k and half marathon are not only fast early season races; they offer a visual feast as they make their way through the stunning scenery of the Ten Mile Canyon. I’m also really excited to be ‘raising’ the next generation of runners with the 2nd Annual Frisco Mountain Goat Kids Trail Running Series. These kids are the future of running for the next 40 years,” stated Linsey Joyce, Recreation Programs Manager.

Registration and more information are available online at www.RuntheRockies.com. There are early bird sign up discounts for all of the races.
