Campout for the Cause 2016 Lineup and Events

Campout For The Cause has announced their full event lineup of live music, yoga & lifestyle workshops and registration for the festival’s Inaugural Stand Up Paddle Colorado Invitational and will release single-day festival tickets. The three-day roots music and lifestyle festival is presented annually by Bonfire Entertainment, and is set to be held a week later this year, from Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Rancho Del Rio near Bond, Colorado. $20 early entry is available on Thursday, June 2 for three-day pass holders. The venue, located on the banks of the Colorado River is just 40 minutes from Vail, and centrally located to other resort towns including Steamboat Springs, Keystone and Breckenridge.

Campout for the Cause Saturated

Headlining artists on the 2016 main stage include Paper Bird, Head for the Hills, Trout Steak Revival, The California Honeydrops, Drunken Hearts, Bonfire (Dub) and The Lil’ Smokies. Additional music sets and late-night jam sessions will be held at the ambient Soapbox Lounge overlooking the Colorado River. The Thursday evening early entry features an exclusive campfire family jam with The Lil’ Smokies. The full schedule is pictured below:

The inaugural Stand Up Paddle Colorado Invitational events include a Colorado River Surf Company Expression Session at Gore Wave at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 — a free community surf session, welcome to everyone. On Sunday, June 5, races begin at 10 a.m. with the four-mile downriver Stand Up Paddle Colorado Invitational State Bridge Sprint. At 2 p.m., competitors will race the Flatwater Challenge in a one-mile upriver and downriver figure-8 course.

“The SUP Colorado Invitational offers paddlers of all abilities an amazing opportunity to race on the beautiful Upper Colorado River,” said SUP CO’s Bradley Hilton, stand up paddle athlete and adventurer. “For the seasoned SUP pros, this is a one of a kind event, with onsite camping and a full schedule of lifestyle workshops, yoga and live music as part of Campout For The Cause.” SUP competition registration opens on May 10 and is $40 for both races on Sunday, June 5. A specially-priced $60 two-day camping and festival pass will be available for SUP Invitational competitors.

Also new in 2016, The Crossroads Adventure Expo area has been implemented to highlight companies, organizations and non-profit partners who share similar ideals of lifestyle awareness and community responsibility.

Campout yoga sessions

Colorado-based yoga and adventure company, In Your Element, will be curating The Bend, an improved gathering space with a yoga platform, seating areas, fire pit, tee-pee and a “food forest” designed by workshop leader and movement instructor, Heath Perry.

The Bend will host daily riverside yoga classes and community-engaging lifestyle workshops like permaculture, belly dancing, hand drumming, nutrition and vendors focusing on movement and nutrition. Featured yogis include Gina Caputo, Rachel Nelson, Julia Clarke, Bobby L’Heureux, Moonstone Jackson, Mariah Schuette and Kim Fuller. All yoga, lifestyle workshops, live music and camping are included in the three-day festival ticket price.

All net proceeds from the event benefit the 2016 Campout non-profit partners Big Heart Big Hands which raises money for mountain rescue organizations, E.f(ec) the Education Foundation of Eagle County and the Children’s Global Alliance which offers large-scale volunteer opportunities for children ages 12-16.
