Here is a festival that we have not attended but have salivated over and intend to experience this year, Campout For The Cause 2015. This incredible festival incorporates music, yoga, workshops and SUP clinics into its schedule and is a three-day roots music and lifestyle festival. Held over Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-24, 2015, at Rancho Del Rio, a beautiful riverside venue just 40 minutes northwest of Vail.
100% of the net proceeds will benefit the festival’s non-profit partners: The Eagle Valley Land Trust, an organization that preserves over 7,000 acres of permanently conserved land in Eagle County, All Hands Volunteers, an organization that provides hands-on assistance to survivors of natural disasters around the world and American Rivers, a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring America’s rivers.
Campout will feature Main Stage performances by headliners Dustbowl Revival and Fruition on Friday, Elephant Revival and Grant Farm on Saturday and Gregory Alan Isakov and Shook Twins on Sunday. The festival will also feature daily yoga, belly dancing, SUP clinics and SUP yoga each day.
This year’s workshops include an introduction to hand drums and rhythm class lead by drummer Jake Wolf. In addition, Heath Perry will teach two workshops on nutrition and the benefits of using healthy foods, herbs, brews and elixirs to cure the most common ailments. Heath Perry will also teach a permaculture paradigm workshop and will explain sustainable methods for growing, making and purchasing healthy and sustainable foods, personal hygiene and more.
Campout For The Cause is dedicated to being a zero-waste event with low environmental impact. The festival has stated a mission to “Walk The Talk”, a platform founded in the commitment to inspire lifestyle awareness and event sustainability, along with the intention to foster a community of responsible and respectful festival participants. This year, water bottles will be given to each patron upon arrival of the festival that can be refilled with free drinking water on-site. 3-Day, 2-Day (Sat/Sun), Single Day, Early Arrival and RV Passes are on sale now.
Campout for the Cause is produced by the same folks who have been bringing WinterWonderGrass to the Vail Valley, Bonfire Entertainment. Their organizational skills and quality festival experiences are guaranteed to carry over into this Memorial Day Weekend event at Rancho del Rio. Seriously, Bonfire Entertainment knows how to entertain and create an event that you will want to attend every single year.
We encourage you to purchase tickets ahead of time, as tickets will not be available at the door. For more information and to purchase advance tickets, visit the Campout For The Cause website at www.campoutforthecause.org.
