Telluride Fire Festival – Stoking up an Incredible Weekend
The Telluride Fire Festival is heating up and preparing to wow its participants with Fire Exhibits, performances and workshops throughout the weekend. an event like no other and we highly suggest you make plans to attend. The annual nonprofit Telluride Fire Festival made its debut in January 2015. The event was inspired by Burning Man, the annual celebration of community, art, and fire, that draws 70,000 people to the Nevada desert every Labor Day weekend. The goal was to bring the Burning Man ethos to Telluride along with the larger-than-life fire art to the region to allow more people the ability to see, interact with, and create this visual magic.
Since its inception, dynamic art performances have been taking place each evening on the public plaza in Mountain Village and on Telluride’s historic Main Street. Additional ticketed entertainment includes an over-the-top Gala with Costumed revelry at the nation’s highest nightclub at the top of the gondola in the majestic Great Room. Come be a part of the art and express your creativity in elegant formal attire or festive apparel.
