Hot Doggin’ World Champs brings a high-energy, retro-themed competition to Aspen Highlands, celebrating the roots of freestyle skiing with moguls, vintage ski outfits, and a après party. Hosted on Scarlett’s Run above Merry-Go-Round, this event is open to skiers looking to compete, watch, and celebrate the golden era of hotdog skiing.

Cody’s Challenge, Steamboat Ski Resort
Cody’s Challenge is Steamboat Springs first and only randonee (skimo) race! Every year, there are more races added to the calendar throughout Colorado, but we challenge you to find one with more heart. This is more than your typical big ascent, heart pumping race.
Born from a French tradition to honor Ski Patrollers who passed away, race coordinator Kyle Lawton, has done just that with the help of his fellow Steamboat Ski Patrollers. When asked about his inspiration for Cody’s Challenge, Lawton said “it is truly remarkable how many people Cody touched with his kindness, enthusiasm for life, spiritualism, and his his respect for the environment. We hope this race has the same impact and touches as many people as Cody did during his life.”
Cody’s Challenge is for everyone, from the professional racer to the first timer. We encourage everyone and anyone to participate in what we think is the coolest race-for-a-cause in Colorado! Proceeds go directly to The Cody St. john Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Professional Ski Patrollers for continuing medical education.

Celebrate Buttermilk’s closing day, on April 5th, with this unique all-things-bacon event.
In celebration of Buttermilk’s closing day, the mountain hosts an annual Bacon Appreciation Day featuring a schedule of all things bacon, including bacon samplers around the mountain until it runs out.
Join us for bacon creations by the Buttermilk Mountain Lodge in the plaza at 8:30am, and on-mountain bacon treats start at 10:30am, while supplies last. Stop by Buttermilk Mountain Lodge—including its après spot, The Backyard—and the Cliffhouse for even more bacon specials, DJ sets, bands, and libations. Local band, 8th St Bus Stop, kicks off the après with music until 2pm. Watch the annual Rail Jam from 2pm-4pm at the base with a DJ bumping music until 6pm. The Easter Bunny will return to Frisco Main Street on Easter Sunday to hide 5,000 Easter eggs for Frisco’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children 8 years old and younger are invited to search for candy stuffed eggs throughout the Frisco Historic Park and the Frisco Town Hall areas. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 12:00pm when the Easter Bunny rings the historic schoolhouse bell. The Easter Bunny will visit with children before and after the egg hunt on Main Street. For Closing Day, we’re transforming Lower Peace Park into an epic Pond Skim at the A-Bowl once again. Throw on your wildest costume, take the plunge, and capture the unforgettable moments—this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Win the Pond Skimming Contest With These Tips!
Here’s what you need to know about the pond skimming contest: Style points are a big deal. This is the day to pull the bright tutu or 80’s neon onesie out of the closet. Suspenders and bowtie while you’re skiing? On this day, heck yes! But this advice isn’t just for participants–we encourage everyone on the mountain to dress in their craziest costumes on pond skimming day!
For those who want to test their skimming skills, there are a few things you need to know. First, come in hot if you want to clear the pond. A speed check right before you hit the pond could sink you. It’s called pond skimming, not pond skiing, for a reason!
Second, leave the ski poles at home. Those can easily rip our precious pool liner.
Third, this is all about glory and bragging rights, but we also have some cool prizes from local vendors, our sponsors, and Grand Prize jackets from Nivis Gear.
Fourth, watch out for alligators.

This is a 2 Person Team Race!
(There are no solo divisions/racers allowed due to mountain protocol. Additionally there is ZERO groomed terrain at Silverton Mountain. Thus if you do not have backcountry or off-piste ski experience we cannot recommend this race. Or please make a trip to Silverton to sample the terrain!
The race will have a Race Division, Recreation Division and a Juniors Division.
The Race class will have approximately 8000 vertical feet of climbing.
The Rec class will have approximately 3500-4000 vertical feet of climbing.
Juniors will follow the Rec course.

Elk Camp Surf & Snow Beach Party, Aspen/Snowmass
Head up to Elk Camp – Snowmass for some closing weekend fun in the sun!
Join us for the Elk Camp Surf & Snow Beach Party, the ultimate celebration to close out the season! For the seventh year in a row, Elk Camp will host a high-energy après party featuring live DJs and hot tubs. Skiers and snowboarders are invited to take on the pond skim challenge, or simply relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere. When the mountain fun wraps up, keep the party going as the celebration moves to Base Village, where the music and festivities continue into the evening.
Music at Elk Camp will be bumping until 4:45pm, but all skiers and riders must ski down by 4:15pm. After that, the Elk Camp Gondola will remain open for downloading until 5pm. Not a skier? No problem! The Gondola is FREE for foot passengers after 12pm.

Whether you are a Skimo expert or just beginning with touring, join us for Copper’s Winter Race Series. SKIMO: Ski Mountaineering racing is a human-powered endurance competition that involves climbing mountains on ski/splitboard, and passing through a series of acents & descents
Heavy Metal: Participants with traditional backcountry skis, boots and bindings rather than specialized skimo racing equipment
Split Board: A snowboard that can be divided into two parts to be used as skis with skins for ascents.

Yarn Fest is Where the Fiber Community Comes to Life
For more than a decade, Yarn Fest has been the premier gathering for knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, and fiber-arts enthusiasts of all levels. It’s a vibrant celebration of creativity — featuring hands-on workshops, an inspiring marketplace, and endless opportunities to learn, connect, and create. Each year, thousands of passionate makers come together with world-class instructors, independent artisans, and enthusiastic shoppers under one roof to explore new techniques, discover innovative tools and yarns, and spark fresh inspiration.
This year, we’re thrilled to announce that our beloved Colorado event is back in person — and in a brand-new home! We’ve partnered with the Estes Park Event Center and Holiday Inn to bring you the Yarn Fest experience you know and love, reimagined for even more creativity, community, and fun.
Our workshops will run 9a – 5p Thursday, Friday & Saturday and our Marketplace will be open Thursday, April 16 10am – 6pm, Friday, April 17 10am – 5pm, and Saturday, April 18 10am – 2pm.

The New Worlds, Breckenridge Resort
A NEW Competition with an ode to snowboarding’s pioneer years. Join us in Breckenridge, April 17–19, at The New Worlds to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the most pivotal moments in snowboarding history: the 1986 World Snowboard Classic.
“The Worlds” quickly became snowboarding’s defining global event, pushing and expanding what was possible to help secure snowboarding’s place at resorts and lifts worldwide. It wasn’t just a contest for the world’s best riders, but the gathering place where the entire snowboard industry came together to evolve equipment, attitudes, and culture. Its massive exposure drew a new generation of riders to Breckenridge in the early ’90s, fueling the new school progression that shaped modern snowboarding into what it is today.
Held in Colorado’s perfect spring conditions, The New Worlds honors and celebrates 40 years of Breckenridge snowboarding ‘s past, present, and future with a full weekend of community-driven contests, including a hand-dug halfpipe and jib-jam, plus cultural events and parties that brings the snowboard community together in Breckenridge once again.

Save Our Snow Sustainability Party, Arapahoe Basin
Together, we have the power to save the powder.
During the Save Our Snow event, the base area transforms into a village where you can increase your knowledge about sustainability issues in our Green Village, demo various skis and snowboards, try some free samples, and even score prizes in our raffle and silent auction. The vibes will stay high with live music.
Special thank you to our carpoolers! We’ll be handing out small tokens of appreciation to cars with 4+ people.Claim your prize from the time lots open (7 AM) until we run out of swag.
Proceeds from the Save Our Snow event will benefit the High County Conservation Center (HC3). This non-profit resource promotes practical solutions for waste reduction and resource conservation in our mountain community.
Must be present to collect your items day of. 
This demo village costs $10 and gets you unlimited demos for the day. Raffle tickets are $3 for one, $5 for two, or $20 for arm’s length raffle tickets! All proceeds benefit HC3.

Rugby’s Rescue is a small non-profit rescue dedicated to “Rescuing, Saving, and Repeating” the process.  Their main focus is rescuing dogs from surrounding Native American Reservations, where the growing dog population has been a big problem. Last year we had over 9 dogs adopted out to their forever homes. 
The beer tasting will take place from Noon- 4 pm. There will be beer vendors, artisan vendors as well as vendors providing fun stuff for your pooch – toys, food, treats etc…
You may bring  your well behaved dog with you to the beer tasting.

Skiers and riders alike are welcome to join in teams of three to compete in our 4th annual Slush Rush—a relay race that combines several snow sport competition favorites…with a twist. 
Registration will be open in March 2026.There will be no day-of registration.
