Transferable Ski Passes Available Through The Summit Foundation

The Summit Foundation has a few transferable Patron Passes, good for unlimited skiing and riding with no blackout dates, still available for the upcoming ski season for a minimum contribution of $4,000.

Thanks to the generosity of Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Beaver Creek Resort, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Copper Mountain Resort, Keystone Resort, and Vail Mountain, the Patron Pass Program continues to be the cornerstone of the fund-raising efforts for The Summit Foundation.

Anchored by transferable skiing privileges, which are provided complimentary to The Foundation from the aforementioned resorts, the Patron Pass Program earned more than $750,000 in funding for The Summit Foundation over the past ski season.  This enabled 80 grants to be made to nonprofit organizations throughout Summit County and neighboring communities and more than 100 scholarships to be awarded to students pursuing post-secondary education.  This funding represented more than one-half of the $1.4 million awarded by The Foundation over the past year.

Throughout the community, businesses and individuals contribute to The Summit Foundation through their participation in the Patron Pass Program.  As the Patron Passes are fully transferable, the medallions are an ideal benefit for businesses to provide to employees, business associates, and clients, and for individuals to share with family and friends.

Businesses throughout the community provide additional benefits to the Patron Pass Program – from golf at Breckenridge Golf Club, Copper Creek, and Keystone Ranch, to Nordic skiing at Breckenridge, Frisco, and Gold Run Nordic Centers, to retail and recreation discounts.  The Foundation has also partnered with several of the nonprofit organizations that receive support from The Foundation to offer additional benefits to passholders.

The Foundation offers several patron pass options, which include golf privileges, Nordic center skiing, and retail and recreation discounts:

  • The Four Mountain Bonus Patron Pass provides one season of transferable skiing at the ski areas of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone, as well as four days at Steamboat and Winter Park Resorts.  This pass is available for a contribution of $4,000.
  • The Six Mountain Bonus Patron Pass provides one season of transferable skiing at the above ski areas, as well as Vail and Beaver Creek.  This pass is available for a contribution of $5,000.
  • The Premier Patron Pass provides the best value for the benefits received.  A contribution of $15,000 over four years provides all of the benefits of the Six Mountain Bonus Patron Pass program.  $1,000 of the $15,000 commitment is dedicated to our endowment fund, while an annual donation of $3,500 is dedicated effectively toward nonprofit grants.  This program is a great way to give to the community and lock in transferable skiing and riding as well as golf privileges at the same contribution level for four years.

With each of these pass options, donors may consider jointly owning a pass with neighbors, business associates, or part-time residents, and many donors establish a payment plan with The Summit Foundation.
