Let’s Go to Frisco’s Tubing Hill – Thanksgiving Fun
Get ready, The Frisco Adventure Park tubing hill will open for the 2014/2015 winter season on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014. On opening day, the first 50 tubers will receive a pumpkin pie or apple pie and a commemorative Frisco Adventure Park pie cutter in celebration of opening day and Thanksgiving.
“The atmosphere at the Frisco Adventure Park is celebratory and fun on any given day, but especially on opening day. I think it is absolutely impossible to be anything but happy while you’re tubing. And there is really nothing better than getting outside together and taking part in an activity which is doable for the whole family from grandpa to grandkids. So we felt that a pie giveaway would embody the laidback and happy vibe at the Adventure Park,” stated Diane McBride, Director of Recreation.
The Frisco Adventure Park also features the Frisco Nordic Center with 40+ km of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The opening of the Frisco Nordic Center is anticipated for the weekend of November 22 and 23. Two Below Zero sleigh rides are also located at the Adventure Park and will start offering their dinner and hot cocoa rides on Saturday, November 22. And the beginner ski and ride hill at the Adventure Park will open in early January.
The Adventure Park tubing hill is open 7 days a week from 10am-6pm with one (1) hour tubing sessions starting every 15 minutes from 10am to 5pm. There are expanded holiday hours, 10am-7pm, from December 21, 2014 – January 4, 2015. Reservations are highly encouraged especially during holidays and on weekends.
The Adventure Park tubing hill also offers a 10 Punch Pass and a Friends and Family Season Pass. The 10 Punch Pass is $199 for guests from outside of Summit County, $170 for Summit County residents and $160 for Town of Frisco residents. The 10 Punch Pass is transferable with no blackout dates. This is also a perfect pass for businesses wanting to sell or provide tubing passes to their customers. This option offers up to a 30% savings over regular prices. The Friends and Family Season Pass is $269 for unlimited tubing for the whole season for 4 people. The pass is non-transferable and includes eight (8) 50% off coupons.
