2025 Annual Business Confluence, Carbondale
The Carbondale Chamber has announced that The Carbondale Business Confluence presented by Alpine Bank, First Bank and Valley View Hospital, will come together on Wednesday, September 17th. The Confluence will take place at Third Street Center Community Hall from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will include catered breakfast sponsored by Alpine Bank. In the afternoon, from 4 – 6 p.m. there will be an evening of networking, information, small bites and more hosted by Homestead Bar & Grill.
The conference will feature a keynote presentation by Colorado Mountain College president Dr. Matt Gianneschi highlighting Economic & Business updates in the Roaring Fork Valley. There will also be updates on the Town of Carbondale, Garfield County by County Manager Fred Jarman, the State of Colorado Department of Labor & Employment by Carolyn Tucker, Regional Business Service Coordinator, the Carbondale Chamber and Carbondale Tourism. Run the Rockies Road 10k & Half Marathon, Frisco
The 50th Annual Run the Rockies Road 10k and Half Marathon will feature the traditional Run the Rockies road race course with runners starting near Copper Mountain. Runners will follow the paved recreation path through Ten Mile Canyon. The 10k course will be 100% downhill, and the half marathon course will be 75% downhill. Both races, at their respective times, will have a mass start. Each distance will have a hard stop at 11:30am. This course typically showcases the beautiful fall colors in Frisco!

Mountain Marmot Trail Run, Purgatory Resort
Have you ever stood at the bottom of a mountain, staring up at the top, thinking to yourself: “I wonder if I could run all the way up there?” This race is for you!
The Race Course:
Mountain Marmot is an epic trail race. The course is simple—start at the bottom of the mountain…run to the top and back. Sounds hard? It’s definitely a challenge. But think how great you will feel when you make it to the top!
The Views:
One thing is for sure: You won’t find a more beautiful course anywhere around. You’ll be running some of the most amazing single-track trails in Colorado, right as the Fall colors are just starting to change. The views will be stunning. This is a race you will never forget.
The Distance:
The distance is 12.2 miles. Because of the elevation gain, think of it as equal to a half-marathon. The best part is, the second half of the race is entirely downhill!
