USA Pro Cycling Challenge Stage 1 Start – Where to Watch in Chaffee County

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge Prologue was Epic and a great start to this fantastic event but now its time to climb. Riders will now get their first breath of our high altitude climate and views of our incredible mountain region. Beginning at 11:45am MST tomorrow, riders will begin their first day of road racing at an elevation of 7241.68 in the lovely little town of Salida and compete for the finish in Crested Butte 99.6 miles away. USA Pro Cycling Challenge launches with the Prologue in Colorado Springs

So it begins! A great new race for the United States and Colorado. I am sure there are naysayers out there but this may be one of the greatest races ever and all our Colorado Mountain Towns are putting on one heck of a show to celebrate it! The launch of this event begins today with The Prologue in Colorado Springs. The Prologue is an individual time trial important for designating the order of the beginning road stage (Stage 1) the next day.  In the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, Colorado Springs is one of only three Front Range communities (Golden, Denver, Colorado Springs) in the inaugural race.
