SIA Snow Show – Heaven!

I will straight out admit, I am a newbie to this event. For weeks I had been making plans to get down to check it out. As I prepped to leave it seemed that obstacles kept appearing in my path. I finally broke free and headed down I-70 only to sit in a line of cars as rock scaling was completed along the highway. Discouraged but no-where ready to give up I arrived……. Gear heaven! Anything and everything the outdoor enthusiast could ever want was there in front of me!

The SIA Snowshow is like a club/department store/ lounge! Folks were amped and so was I! Point Six was there with a plethora of warm high tech wool socks. Recon Instruments too – which are super cool and I will definitely do an in-depth post on.

A small company out of LA caught my attention with Beard Head hats. Ullr aficionados, take note. Awesome!

           

Another small company from the Keystone area has fun soft goods, super recognizable to locals.

And of course the big guys were there too! GO Pro, Skull Candy, Obermeyer, Salomon, K2and… the list is HUGE! I was loving the Go Pro Race cars… I want to drive one!

          

Ran into a some great friends too! The Fat-ypus crew was there showcasing every ski you could want for a POW day like today!

so were those Junior Freeski Champions with their sponsor Faction Skis: Ian Borgeson, Cody Cirrillo and Drew Peterson! Nice face Cody ;  )  Look at that fat board! Gimme, gimme!!!

And the list goes ON!!! As well as the party! Happy Birthday K2 – 50 Years of Pioneering and we thank you. Heading back down on Sunday. Time to catch some freshies! SIA, yup, this is what it is all about.
