Revely Vail Welcomes the Brilliance of Winter

Revely Vail’s first annual event kicks off a new week-long Revely Vail‘s Brilliance of Winter celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday season celebrating the holidays and the official kick-off of the 2019-2020 season at Vail.

From November 23-30, 2019, Revely Vail will offer family-oriented activities throughout Vail Village, including cooking classes, ice skating celebrations, Explosion of Lights walk, which includes Gluwhein and beer, gingerbread contest (register here), tree lighting, music in Vail, and the Kris Kringle Market. A signature 10^thMountain Legacy Parade will also take place along the streets of Vail, honoring veterans and commemorating the legacy of Vail.

Vail Mountain opened for skiing and snowboarding on November 15, 2019 with expanded snowmaking capabilities on the upper mountain in the Mid-Vail area.

From skiing on the mountain to new festivities in the Village, visiting Vail during the early-season will be an experience like nothing on earth.

SATURDAY , NOVEMBER 23rd

Ice Skating Celebration (at Solaris & Arrabelle) 3:30pm – 4:00 pm
Enjoy skating exhibitions from the Vail Ice Skating Club at the Solaris and Arrabelle outdoor skating rinks. See these skaters light up the ice and showcase their talents.

Explosion of Lights Walk 5:30pm – 6:00 pm
Begin your walk at Lionshead Plaza. We will stroll through Lionshead to see the brilliant lights businesses have on display. Grab a hot chocolate at our Hot chocolate and more tent and plan to walk through to Vail, strolling all the streets to see the tree, lights and more in Vail. We will end at Slifer Square

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24

Vail Astronomy Nights | Betty Ford Alpine Garden 6:00pm – 8:00pm
The Colorado sky comes alive with views of the Crescent Moon, Jupiter, the Ring Nebula, constellations, and so much more. Our professional astronomer will lead guests through a fun exploration of the night sky using museum-grade, state-of-the-art telescopes for observing the universe. It is a magical night for experienced stargazers and first-time viewers. This is a great event for everyone from 5 to 85 -kids, young adults, parents and grandparents will be enchanted by what they see in the amazing Colorado sky.

Revely Vail Cooking Class Series | Create Gnocchi & Pumpkin Soup with Chef Rosa Provoste 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Executive Chef Rosa Provoste will be teaching us how to make seasonal favorites of pumpkin soup and gnocchi from scratch. Chef Rosa will be there to guide you through the process for each. GET TICKETS!

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25th

Revely Vail Cooking Class Series | Vidette Gehl hosts a Pancake Party 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Do your kids love to cook? Sign them up for this fun class, and they will learn how to make a favorite breakfast staple, pancakes. Join Vidette Gehl, longtime Vail local and owner of Big Bear Bistro in Vail, for a Pancake Party! She will teach kids how to make pancakes with all different flavors from scratch, not from a box. After this class, your kid(s) will know how to make the best pancakes on the block! Kids ages 9-15. This class is open to kids of all cooking ability levels. Tickets are non-refundable. GET TICKETS!

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26th

Gingerbread Contest Competition 11:00 am – 5:30 pm
The Gingerbread Competition will take place on November 26, 2019 at Vail Public Library at 4 p.m. There are 3 categories: chefs, adult (non-chefs) and children. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners in all 3 categories. Plus, the winners will take home money! Chefs will receive a $500 Prize for first, $200 prize for second and $100 prize for third. Adult (non chefs) will receive $200 prize for first, $100 prize for second and $75 for third. Children will receive $100 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third. Gingerbread House will be on display 26th – 30th after the competition.

10th Mountain Parade 6:00pm
Guests are invited to watch skiers dressed in traditional 10th Mountain Division Ski Trooper uniforms perform a Torchlight Ski Down to the base of Gondola One, followed by a parade of military veterans, also in traditional uniform, marching from Gondola One down Bridge Street, across the Covered Bridge and finishing at the 10 th Mountain statue. Music will be taking place at Express Lift at Gondola One in Vail Village. Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman (both of the Trey Anastasio Band) will be joined by Nick Cassarino and Ian Faquini.

Tree Lighting 6:00 pm
Join the Vail community in this special annual event as we celebrate the brilliance of winter and the kick-off to the holiday season with its annual tree lighting. This year, Sheika Gramshammer, will light the tree accompanied by the Town of Vail mayor, music by The Turn Table Revue and more.
