Labor Day  Ouray County Fair & Rodeo, Ridgeway
The Ouray County Fair and Labor Day Rodeo will be held on Sep 5th – 7th, 2015 in Ridgway, Colorado. This Ridgway rodeo is held at Ouray County Fairgrounds and hosted by Ouray County Fair and Labor Day Rodeo of Colorado.
Ouray County Fair and Labor Day Rodeo is a non-profit organization that dedicates their time and efforts to preserving the ranching heritage by providing scholarships and education-focused financial support to area children. Their rodeo is held in conjunction with the county fair, 4-H Livestock sale and exhibits, parade and BBQ! Doo Wop Denny’s Dance Party, Silverthorne
Join local favorite, Doo Wop Denny, for a rockin’ good time, as he takes the stage at the Silverthorne Pavilion to perform his last dance of the season! This lifelong entertainer promises “music to bring out the rock & roll kid in you” with songs from the 50s/60s, island tunes and slow dancing. Doors open at 6:00pm and dancing takes place from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. Optional fifties duds encouraged, poodle skirts, saddle shoes, Prom dresses, letter sweaters and more! GORE-TEX Grand Traverse Mountain Run and Bike, Crested Butte
The second annual Grand Traverse Mountain Run and Bike will take place the first weekend in September.  This supported route is close to the 40 miles  and is similar to the route that skiers have done since 1998. Mt. Evans Summit Closes for the Season, Idaho Springs
Today is the final day to drive to the Summit of Mount Evans for the Season – The Scenic Byway will reopen in it’s entirety Memorial Day Weekend, Weather Permitting. You may however drive up as far as Echo Lake year-round, which is about halfway to the Summit of Mount Evans.
