“The late season should be true spring skiing with good coverage,” said Rich Burkley, vice president mountain operations, Aspen Skiing Company. “This has been what I call a charmed season…we opened early and strong and stayed that way until mid April.”
All Aspen/Snowmass season passes are valid as they are during the regular season. Double Flex, Flex and Adult Classic Passholders rate is $29. Child/Youth and College Classic passes will cost $21 and passholders from any other resorts can present their pass for a $39 rate. The Limelight Hotel is offering all Coloradans a special local rate starting at $139/night for Standard and Deluxe room types, which includes the popular Limelight breakfast spread, local shuttles, cruiser bikes, Wi-Fi and more, April through June, 2014. All other room types are 20 percent off. A valid Colorado ID is required upon check-in. This special is based on availability, with a few blackout dates. To book call 855-617-2338. The Ajax Tavern patio will also be open with a limited menu on both weekends. Aspen/Snowmass has received more than 300 inches of snow this season. This season has seen consistent snowfall and excellent coverage since the resort opened early in November. More terrain opened early and stayed open through the season than any season in recent years.
I see mashed potatoes in my future. Aspen will be tasty!
