Studio B Architecture + Interiors, a leading firm in modern, bespoke architectural and interior design with over 34 years of award-winning work, is proud to announce a seamless transition in leadership and ownership to two current, long-time employees. Founders Scott Lindenau and Susan Okie Lindenau have mentored and guided their successors, Sarah Harkins and Kyle Burds, who will now assume the roles of co-owners.

This transition marks an evolution rather than a departure, with Studio B remaining firmly rooted in its commitment to excellence while embracing renewed energy. Harkins and Burds have been integral to Studio B’s leadership team for years, working closely with the Lindenaus to nurture the firm’s ethos while shaping its future.

Harkins, who has relocated to Aspen, will lead the firm’s Aspen studio, while Burds will oversee the Boulder studio, working together to guide the company into its next chapter.

Harkins brings a wealth of experience from her time at leading commercial and residential firms, with projects like the Facebook headquarters and the Jenga Tower penthouse in Manhattan. Burds, who began his career at Studio B, returned to the firm after working in New York, drawn back by its culture of creativity and collaboration.

“This is an incredible honor and responsibility,” said Harkins, new co-owner of Studio B. “We’re excited to build upon the foundation Scott and Susan have created, ensuring Studio B remains a leader in modern architecture while evolving to meet the needs of the next generation. With Kyle leading our Boulder studio and me relocating to Aspen, we’ll continue to collaborate as co-owners to advance the firm’s vision.”

Studio B will continue its legacy of designing modern, mountain-inspired homes and bespoke projects in Aspen, Boulder, and beyond, while expanding its reach to national and international markets. The firm remains committed to its core values: passion for beauty and excellence, a rigorous design process, and a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture. With this leadership transition, Studio B is poised to shape the future of modern architecture.
