Recipe for a Great Bloody Mary – Colorado Style!

It’s Saturday, the sky is blue and the sun is warm. A perfect day for a Bloody Mary! I happened upon one of the most delicious concoctions I have had in a very long time thanks to the folks at the Breckenridge Distillery. One of the worlds best vodka’s was served up with a great new Colorado product, Motherload Provisions – Rocky Mountain Style Bloody Mary Mix.

As I sipped this glorious cocktail I had a chance to talk with Leland Oxley the owner and genius behind the the Motherlode’s perfect recipe. He uses fresh tomatoes, carrot juices, molasses, onions,  several different peppers and an abundance of unique spices to give the mix a delightful flavor and unique complexity. In addition this artisan product is gluten free and vegan. Perfect for parties, a morning on your deck or my favorite – a day on the river! We love the Breckenridge Distillery but liquor is not necessary to compliment your day.
