Aspen Fashion Week – Thinking Krimson Klover and Packing up to Go!
Hmmmm think, think, think, think… I am preparing to pack. I am heading to Aspen for fashion week and I know that 20 years of mountain living has reduced my once fashionable closet to a pile of basics and necessities. Basic being the standard long-sleeved white, black and taupe tops; Necessities being ski shirts, biking jerseys and yoga clothes. As I think about it I am fashionable for where I live. Obermeyer, Patagonia, Under Armour, Burton and Lola are not basic names. This is the stuff that many envy and desire on their backs.
Nor do I lack in sweaters! I have been perusing each designer’s fashions and looks, I adore them all but I would say that I am attracted most to cute flowery knits with Nordic themes. I received a press release about the inclusion of Krimson Klover through SIA. Their name alone sounded cute so I went in and looked over their catalog! LOVE at first sight! Adorable tights, dresses, tops, jackets, hats and more.
Then I read over their positioning statement: Krimson Klover designs feminine, flirtatious and vivacious natural fiber clothing for the sophisticated woman who enjoy living fully in the present moment, and create clothing that supports you to live a playfully authentic life everyday. WOW – here is a company I can really relate to! I am looking forward to the Snow Collections runway show on Tuesday. Dale of Norway, FERA, Helly Hansen, Killy, Krimson Klover, Obermeyer, SKEA will all be there and so will I
I am feeling re-energized. I am not drab and boring! I rock, I am an outdoor chick who looks for function, fun patterns and pretty colors. Now that I think of it not all of this stuff is so drab. Pretty colors and patterns grace much of it. I still have a decent dress or two and with the help of Valleygirl Boutique I have a few stylish things to wear out on the town for a cocktail and some fun.
.So like this uber fashionable gal above I have got my boots and I am ready to roll! See you at Aspen Fashion Week!
