Wake Up Breck! Breckenridge Ski Resort
The countdown to ski season is on and it all kicks off with the annual community tradition, Wake Up Breck, on Thursday, Nov. 6 in preparation and celebration of the resort’s opening day, Friday, Nov. 7. This year, in partnership with local nonprofit organization, Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, we are encouraging attendees to help fill their neighbor’s cup by considering a donation to support adaptive access to Summit County ski resorts.
On Thursday, join Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Town of Breckenridge at participating coffee shops across Town to collect a FREE commemorative coffee mug and a free cup of coffee. Thursday’s event begins at 7 a.m. and lasts until all mugs run out. Mugs typically run out within the hour, so guests are encouraged to arrive early and mugs are limited to one per person.

18th Annual CAIC Benefit Bash, Breckenridge
Your ticket purchase supports the CAIC forecasts and avalanche safety in Colorado! This is the 18th annual kickoff party to fundraise for avalanche safety and celebrate the backcountry community.
Join us on Saturday, November 22nd, at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge for the season’s biggest and best fundraiser for avalanche safety. Your ticket includes drink tickets, live and silent auction bidding, and a chance to win from a huge mountain of gear giveaways from our sponsors.

Lighting of Breckenridge + Race of the Santas, Breckenridge
The holidays shine a little brighter in Breckenridge! The first weekend of December kicks off with the Holiday Dog Parade, where costumed pups prance down Main Street to spread cheer. Then, hundreds of Santas dash through downtown in the Race of the Santas, filling the streets with jingle-bell energy. As evening falls, the town comes alive with the Lighting of Breckenridge, when 11.2 MILES and 250,000 dazzling lights transform Main Street into a glowing winter wonderland. The iconic holiday lights in downtown Breckenridge are one of the most photographed sights during the snowy months and continue to sparkle all winter long.

What if Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol was rewritten from Jacob Marley’s point of view? Join us for a highly entertaining new twist on the beloved holiday classic! Upon the hour of his own death, Scrooge’s partner Jacob Marley, finds out that he must redeem Scrooge’s soul! So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge’s heart, indeed, is opened; but not before Marley—in this funny and deeply moving story—discovers his own. Rockstar Energy Open, Breckenridge Ski Resort
Breckenridge Ski Resort announces the debut of the Rockstar Energy Open snowboarding event, taking place December 19–21 in Breckenridge, Colorado. This thrilling three-day festival is free and open to the public, combining world-class snowboarding competitions with live music, art installations, and an interactive fan village set against the backdrop of Breck’s five iconic peaks. The event is an expansion of the successful skateboarding event, which features elite pros and rising stars, while showcasing top talent and a new approach to competition.
The inaugural snowboarding edition of the Rockstar Energy Open will include both men’s and women’s divisions and spotlight a star-studded roster of Rockstar Energy athletes, including Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard, Colorado native Nik Baden, and fan-favorite Iris Pham.
The Rockstar Energy Open will also debut a new world-class rider-designed course created in partnership with Snow Park Technologies and the Breck Terrain Park Crew. The competition venue will feature a unique muli-terrain setup unlike traditional slopestyle, halfpipe or big air formats.

BOEC’s 50th Anniversary Mountain Takeover, Breckenridge
Join us January 24^th as Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center partner to celebrate five decades of inclusive outdoor adventures. The BOEC 50th Anniversary Mountain Takeover will feature a community first tracks experience, on-mountain giveaways, and a special celebration at the Maggie, complete with a raffle, live music and more!
Since 1979, the BOEC and Breckenridge Ski Resort have partnered to provide adaptive recreation experiences in the outdoor community. The BOEC supports over 2,000 participants annually through skiing, snowboarding, and other year-round adaptive programming, including the world’s first and only wheelchair-accessible high-altitude ropes course. Join us on snow this season and celebrate the volunteers, participants and organizers who are fostering a ski community that is accessible to all!

International Snow Sculpture Championships, Breckenridge
Breckenridge’s International Snow Sculpture Championships presented by Toyota is a world-renowned snow sculpting competition where teams fr om around the world descend on Breckenridge, Colorado to hand-carve 25-ton blocks of snow into enormous, intricate works of art. Artists are only allowed to use hand tools, creativity and inspiration to bring their ideas to life. No power tools allowed! Teams sculpt countless hours across five days (totaling around 94 hours), resulting in a temporary outdoor art gallery in historic downtown Breckenridge!
