Noche de Baile Latina, Silverthorne
The Silverthorne Pavilion invites you to Noche de Baile Latina on Friday, Jan. 9. Instructor Michael Marin will teach the Bachata and Merengue from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by open dancing until 10:30 p.m. This FREE event is open to all, regardless of dance experience. Skidola, Telluride
The Telluride Mountain Club, in partnership with the Telluride Foundation, is hosting the sixth annual Skidola, Telluride’s winter uphill race, on March 14th, 2026. The Skidola is an open-registration, on-snow uphill race from the town of Telluride to the San Sophia Ridge. Racers can compete using microspikes, snowshoes, skis, or splitboards. This is a family-friendly race, welcoming both competitive racers and those who just want to have fun!
All proceeds benefit the Telluride Mountain Club’s PI Avy Fund and its mission to expand avalanche education and backcountry user awareness in the San Juan Mountains.

2026 America’s Uphill, Aspen
The America’s Uphill begins at the base of Little Nell and climbs 3267 feet up the Aspen Mountain ski area finishing at the Sundeck Restaurant at an elevation of 11,212 feet. This traditional uphill race is put on by the Ute Mountaineer and co-sponsored by the City of Aspen with additional support from Aspen Skiing Company.

Breckenridge Fly Fishing Film Tour, Breckenridge
The annual Breckenridge Fly Fishing Film Tour is a benefit event offering a traveling roadshow of the best fly fishing films in the world. This is the 20th annual Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T), offering a top notch selection of short films that are sure to get you fired up for the season ahead. The F3T is the original and largest fly fishing film event of its kind.
While the event is a collection of great cinematography, the BreckF3T aims to create community and kick-off the 2026 fly angling season right by supporting disabled veterans, educational fishing programs for local and visiting children, high school stream ecology education and local conservation efforts.
This year’s BreckF3T will include a raffle of F3T sponsor- and Summit County fly shop-donated gear, trips and other amazing items. Last year we had over $22,000 worth of raffle items for the renowned ‘BreckF3T Speed Raffle!” You are in the game at $5 a raffle ticket.

Telluride Skijoring is a free, family-friendly winter event that brings the high-energy sport of skijoring right to Main Street. Skiers and snowboarders are pulled behind horses down a snow-packed course on East Colorado Avenue, racing through gates, and flying over jumps in an exciting display of horsemanship and athleticism. Across the weekend, spectators can watch novice runs that introduce newcomers to the sport, plus advanced skills demonstrations from seasoned teams, all while enjoying Telluride’s historic downtown and local businesses. The Shamrock Shuffle Snowshoe Race, Vail
The Annual Vail Recreation District Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle 5K and 10K races and the kids’ 1K fun run will celebrate all things green in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day!
Taking place on the Vail Nordic Center trails, the event includes two race categories – snowshoes and running (with or without traction devices). The race will be followed immediately by a lively post-race party in the Gore Range Room at the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse.
Legend has it that Ben Krueger hid some a pot of gold when building the Vail Golf Course in the 1960s. He never disclosed the location to his family because he wanted it to be for the community to find!
