Is there anything more beautiful than a Colorado mountain town during the winter holidays? Sparkling snow, powder filled forests and ski runs galore are the gifts our region offers.

To kick off the magazine we have a great article written about Aspen from our friend Jillian Livingston of Aspen Real Life. She has lived in this community for a long time and chats up her passion for the surrounding mountains and the town’s offerings. And this Image?! Jeremy Swanson know how to catch the Winterskol celebrations each year!

News, Mountain Made Products, an Environmental Update, Family Ski Stories, Entrepreneur Profiles and more follow.

Our feature is Great Eats & Après because food and drink is central to this festive season. Discover some of our incredible award winning mountain town establishments, new restaurants to explore and stories about some of our latest favorites. Writer Lisa Blake brings us 7 Mountain Town Cocktails to Sip This Winter and we focus on Wineries and Breweries too.

Did you know that the holidays are the number one time to get engaged? It makes sense so we decided to include a Wedding section to help you plan a spectacular mountain town wedding and reception. We have advice from Wedding Planner Shawna Henderson of Majestic Mountain Events and Beauty Tips from Makeup Artist and Stylist Melissa Holtzclaw of Alpine Beauty to prepare you for your big day.

If winter starts getting you down we have a Beach Town Getaway story from Caren and Kevin Austin about Matachica, a resort in Belize that will have you running for your flip-flops. This could be a great Honeymoon or a Holiday Gift for someone you love.

We close out the magazine with a story on Dark Sky International’s newly inducted town that has joined their growing list of certified communities, Breckenridge. The holiday lights may fade but the stars will always twinkle. If we turn off our lights they will shine even brighter. Enjoy!

Much Love from Up High,

Holly
