Country Dancing at the Amp, Dillon
Dance the night away with country dancing at the Dillon Amphitheater in partnership with Summit Country Dancing. For those new to country dancing or looking to brush up on their moves, the first hour dance instructors are available to teach basic steps and routines. This makes the event accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their prior dance experience.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of country dance styles, including line dancing, two-step, and partner dancing. There is usually something for dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced dancers.
The event is family-friendly, with participants of all ages joining in the fun. Children, adults, and seniors can all be seen dancing together, making it a multi-generational activity.

Little Riders Rally Race 5, Copper Mountain
Calling all future cycling champions! This summer, Copper Mountain is hosting the Little Riders Rally, a free race series designed to introduce young riders to the joys of cycling in a fun and safe environment.
On balance or pedal bikes, we invite your little rippers to race through Center Village on a course specifically designed for their size and skill level. It’s all about building confidence, coordination, and a love for the outdoors. Courses will be scaled to Strider level, but all ages and abilities are welcome up to 6 years old. Don’t have a bike? Some will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on site.

The Adaptive Mountain Biking World Championship seeks to create a competitive environment for all adaptive mountain bikers across a wide variety of riding styles and equipment selections. Hosted on Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Lower Loop in town, the race weekend highlights some of the area’s riding with trails that will challenge even the most experienced riders. Each stage tests a different set of skills, from climbing prowess to cross country loops to technical descending and climbing. Each day of racing provides riders with the opportunity to meet new people and grow their riding community with riders from across the country.

Arts at Altitude Show at Fall Fest, Frisco
The Summit County Arts Council will curate a local and regional Arts at Altitude art show and sale in conjunction with Frisco’s Fall Fest. The art show will take place at the Frisco Historic Park and on Main Street Frisco in front of the Historic Park (between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue) on Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6, 2025. The show will feature primarily Colorado artists with many local Summit County artists and will feature jewelry, pottery, paintings, photography, and other fine arts
Kick off the fall season on Saturday, September 6 at Frisco’s Fall Fest with Ein Prosit serving up pretzels and sausage. The event will also include a beer garden featuring German beer and benefiting the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District. Other activities will include live music and a free make and take art project for children and adults.

Imogene Pass Run, Telluride
What began as a way to train for the Pike’s Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race ventures from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot Imogene Pass and is a 17.1 mile point-to-point mountain race. The pass is a 4×4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. The runners finish at the Sheridan Opera House on Oak Street in Telluride.

The Mane Event, Aspen/ Snowmass
This new event seeks to celebrate the long-standing tradition of horsemanship in the Roaring Fork Valley and Snowmass’ heritage of horsemanship. From 11:00am-2:00pm, come out to the Snowmass Rodeo Grounds to enjoy equestrian demos such as Classical Dressage, a Mexican Horse Extravaganza, therapeutic horseback riding techniques from Smiling Goat Ranch, as well as reining, equine massage and farrier (horse shoeing) demos.

The Colorado Grand® is an annual charity tour for 1960 and earlier sports and race cars of distinction. The event was founded in 1989 by Englewood automotive enthusiast Bob Sutherland. Every September at the peak of the fall color season approximately 85 vintage cars are driven in this relaxed, non-competitive event, covering 1,000 miles through the Rockies in five days. The event is run with the cooperation of the Colorado State Patrol and spectators are invited to see the cars and meet their owners.

The event includes two activities: The 5K is a walk or run around Lake Estes. The distance symbolizes the run that FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller made from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center where he lost his life in the service of others. The Stair Climb is at our local parking garage and you have the opportunity to climb 110 stories – the height of the World Trade Center. Participants are encouraged to climb what they can, whether that be one story or all 110. Participants of all ages are welcome to participate and climb in honor of those lost.

Runners will follow the paved recreation path through Ten Mile Canyon. The 10k course will be 100% downhill, and the half marathon course will be 75% downhill. Both races, at their respective times, will have a mass start. Each distance will have a hard stop at 11:30am. This course typically showcases the beautiful fall colors in Frisco!

One thing is for sure: You won’t find a more beautiful course anywhere around. You’ll be running some of the most amazing single-track trails in Colorado, right as the Fall colors are just starting to change. The views will be stunning. This is a race you will never forget.
The Distance:
The distance is 12.2 miles. Because of the elevation gain, think of it as equal to a half-marathon. The best part is, the second half of the race is entirely downhill!
