Crankworx Colorado + Winter Park Trestle Bike Park = Gravity Awesome Weekend

Course construction is complete and the fifth annual Crankworx Colorado mountain bike festival is ready to roll in the next few hours. From today, July 28 through Sunday July 31, 2011 at Winter Park Resort’s Trestle Bike Park. Crankworx Colorado unleashes one of the largest gravity-fueled mountain bike festivals in the United States. The 2011 events look to top the record breaking attendance of 2010. Events will include Slopestyle, Cross-Country, Rainmaker Air Downhill, Trestle Unchained Challenge, Dual Slalom and for the second year – a UCI Downhill event. The Intergalactic Pond Crossing Championships, a crowd favorite is returning this year on Saturday, July 30th.

Gravity Biking is a sport that has taken off  over the past few years with tremendous growth in participation at Winter Park Resort’s Trestle Bike Park. “The momentum and success of Crankworx Colorado has been amazing in only a few short years,” said Bob Holme, Trestle Bike Park manager and Crankworx Colorado general manager.
