Copper Supports Local Patroller Sally Francklyn – ‘Super Woman Sally’ to be a New Heat During the CopperMan Adventure Race
Lets face it, its been a tough season. All of our mountain town communities have seen many of its near and dear taken from them or injured. On March 24, Sally Francklyn was injured while skiing with friends in the backcountry near Jackson Hole. While improving there is a long road ahead for her in recovering. To show support and love for Sally Francklyn, a long-standing member of Copper Mountain’s Ski Patrol team, Copper has renamed the ‘Super Hero’ heat at the upcoming CopperMan adventure race April 14, 2012, to the ‘Super Hero Sally’ heat.
Super Woman Sally Supporters will have the option of purchasing a $49 entry for this heat, and 50% of proceeds will benefit Sally’s recovery. Super Hero Capes will be sold during the event for $10—100% of proceeds will also be donated to Sally. During the race, there will be an obstacle called ‘Leap of Faith.’ Followers of Sally’s recovery will be able to view images online at CopperColorado.com as race participants show their support by entertaining her with their best super hero leaps! Sally Francklyn joined Copper Mountain Ski Patrol 10 years ago as a Junior Patroller and has remained an active member of the patrol team through the 2011/2012 season.
