USA Pro Cycling Challenge – The 2011 VIP Experience

This is one of the most exciting events to ever hit our beautiful state and mountain towns and is the most demanding bike race ever held on American soil! Coming August the USA Pro Cycling Challenge racers will experience our beautiful views and breathless altitudes. The race is on the level of the Tour de France, bringing the high speeds, danger and adrenaline of professional biking to elevations over 2 miles high in some of the most picturesque terrain in the world—our Colorado Rocky Mountains.

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is supported by 11 Colorado Host Cities.  These host cities form a unique and stunning backdrop to America’s Race.

MIDWEEK MOUNTAINS: AUGUST 22-25 (4 days, 3 nights)

Based out of the beautiful mountain resort of Aspen, this over-the-top program includes unprecedented access to two critical mountain stages. After the spectacular roundtrip heli ride to Crested Butte for live-viewing of the Stage 1 finish, the next day we just stroll from our luxurious Aspen hotel to the Stage 2 finish line. You’ll see the shattered pro peloton up-close and in-person as they come screaming into the finish line off Independence Pass!

Vail Resort in the summer is a delight, topped off here with live viewing of the race’s punishing mountain time trial stage. The stage start is in the heart of Vail Village, just a few steps from our luxurious resort accommodations. Above and beyond our front-row VIP seats for the spectacular racing, it’s a unique opportunity to see some of the top pro cyclists in the world as they warm-up and make final preparations for this crucial individual race against the clock. Our stay is rounded out the following day with a leisurely morning at the Stage 4 start in nearby Avon.

From the Stage 5 finish in the historic mining town and ski resort of Breckenridge, to the race-wrapping final party, this will be a weekend to remember! Based out of deluxe hotel accommodations in downtown Denver, we’ll transfer out to “Breck,” previewing the all-important run-in of the race course on our way in. Then we’ll watch the live TV feed while enjoying a catered buffet lunch in the finish line VIP zone with front-row seats for the thrilling stage finish. On Sunday, we’ll see the Stage 6 start in Golden and the finish in downtown Denver, before joining the teams and staff celebrating their survival of this historic first-year run of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
