Frisco Wassail Days 2015

Oh my goodness, this is so much fun, Frisco Wassail Days is returning to Frisco December 4-13, 2015. This week long celebration of all things winter features 500 luminaries on Frisco’s Main Street, an Ugly Sweater Challenge, Santa visits, Breakfast with Santa, a Wassail Night at the Museum and a soup competition with a side of tubing. Tubing? Yes, Tubing!

Frisco’s Wassail Days was founded on the notion that throwing out the welcome mat during the winter holidays means that you offer everyone a special treat, wassail. Wassail is hot spiced cider, and over the years Frisco businesses have perfected this drink and have collectively served over 5,000 free cups of wassail each year.  In 2015, over 60 local businesses will serve their own special recipe wassail from December 4-13, and guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite wassail and fill up their “12 Sips of Wassail” card. Completed cards may be redeemed at the Frisco Information Center for a free 2015 commemorative Wassail Days mug while supplies last. Each year the commemorative mug features iconic Frisco buildings and scenes, and this year’s mug will feature Frisco’s classic holiday lighting and decor.

“Frisco is a magical place during the holidays and Wassail Days is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! The town is decked out in sparkling lights, shops and restaurants welcome you with free tastes of warm mulled cider, there are great events that enhance quality time with friends and family, and Santa visits often. It sets a lovely stage for the upcoming holiday,” stated Nora Gilbertson, Special Events Manager.
