Frisco Founders Day

Frisco,  a small town with very big appeal shines in the summer with a variety of events ,town amenities and great shops and restaurants. It is a location you will certainly want to explore. With the BBQ Challenge over and 4th of July in the front of our calendars take time to discover Frisco’s history. A full day of fun family activities await at the annual Founders day , June 30, 2012.  

Frisco’s Founders Day provides a little education with a whole lot of interactive fun at the Frisco Historic Park.  Come ride on a Burro, pan for gold, tour the historic park interactive displays or set out the lawn chair for a day of entertainment.  The event starts at 10 am and is sure to have something for everyone.

 

The entertainment line- up includes two theatrical performances by the “Legendary Ladies” at 11:00am and 1:00 pm.  Join us for costumed portrayals of the “Unconventional Women of the West,” offering performances by Calamity Jane and Baby Doe Tabor.  Listen to their trials  and tribulations of living in the west.  Discover the hardships and gossip that influenced the power and politics of our growing nation.   

 The fun continues with live performances by the Summit Concert Band, the National Repertory Orchestra and The Woodies.  All the music will set the stage for a great afternoon in the park.  A full schedule of events is available at the Town of Frisco website TownofFrisco.com
