The Meeting, Aspen
Join us in Aspen for three days as we deep dive into content creation, marketing, social media, data analysis and technology. Network and rub elbows with other industry professionals and story tellers while you explore the mountains and get inspired.
It’s not your typical “conference”. The Meeting is a gathering in the mountains designed to inspire an interactive atmosphere of do-ers, think-outside-the-box-ers, creatives, influencers, strategists, entrepreneurs and leaders who want to network in an environment that ignites new ideas and cultivates old ones.
The interactive conversations over three days will cover cross-platform digital marketing and content creation, story-telling and influencing, brand activation, licensing and connecting action sports with the mainstream as well as explore new and emerging technology platforms.
Over a decade “The Meeting” has evolved from what started as a small, open forum conversation on the roof deck of the Mountain Chalet to a carefully curated conference that actively creates unique opportunities for attendees to network, share and be inspired by new ideas. https://www.aspensnowmass.com/while-you-are-here/events/the-meeting-conference

Underground Sound, Beaver Creek
Featuring Clinard Dance Flamenco Quartet Project. Clinard Dance is pioneering a unique style of flamenco dance by abandoning the representational ties to the form and relying heavily on the rhythms and a sense of improvisation, in a quest for a free, spontaneous body which is able to interact and dialogue with other compositional forces. Clinard reached out to musicians in order to explore new exponents of flamenco resulting in the Flamenco Quartet Project. Led by an open minded spirit the ensemble seeks to engage with contemporary culture through vibrant performances that honor traditional flamenco and their shared passion for music and dance discovery. The roster of performers boasts remarkably diverse talents, including composers, arrangers, improvisers and choreographers who bring a range of cultural influences to the group, from Gypsy jazz to klezmer; flamenco and classical Arabic and Spanish art forms. The unique camaraderie within the group retains the intimacy and spontaneity unique to small ensemble work. The group consists of nationally and internationally renowned artists, including dancer Wendy Clinard, violinist Steve Gibons, vocalist/guitarist Marija Temo, and bassist Javier Saume. https://vilarpac.org/underground-sound/

BRAvo Fundraiser, Telluride
The Ah Haa School started the BRAvo Auction & Fundraiser as an entertaining way for the community to come together to shed some light on serious and often painful issues. Telluride is a highly talented community. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the bras people submit for the BRAvo fundraiser each year. Bottle caps, paint, felt and even keys and electronics have adorned the modeled bras. Members of the community have let their imaginations run wild and have definitely been uninhibited in their designs. The Telluride men who strut these creations on the New Sheridan Bar for the live auction are just as uninhibited. Having men model the bras makes them an active part of the event and turns the tables in a fun and festive way. BRAvo happens in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well as Domestic Violence Prevention Month. Each year the BRAvo Annual Bra Invitational Auction & Fundraiser raises money to support the San Miguel Resource Center, a local nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault in our community, and Bosom Buddies, a breast cancer support group for southwestern Colorado. https://www.visittelluride.com/play/festivals-events/bravo-fundraiser-10-11-2018/

Underground Sound, Beaver Creek
Featuring Addi And Jacq. Recently crowned the “best emerging band in NYC” after their performance at the NPRWNYC Battle of the Boroughs, Addi & Jacq (armed with nothing more than vocals and a harp) have created a diverse and compelling body of music. Their songs range from delicate acoustic tunes to layered electric harp grooves. The variety in Addi & Jacq’s output can be partly attributed to their wide range of musical influences, which include everyone from Mozart to Radiohead, Rufus Wainwright to Paul Simon. While some songs buzz with quick vocals and smart rhymes, others bubble slowly with blended voices. All are grounded by skilled writing, singing, and playing. https://vilarpac.org/underground-sound/

Rose Street Bed and Breakfast Ghost Hunt, Georgetown
Located in one of the most haunted towns in Colorado, The Rose Street Bed and Breakfast is said to have visitors from the other side who, on occasion, make themselves known within the rooms and halls of this enchanting property. The Victorian vernacular wood frame ell house was built in 1882 during the silver mining boom by the Taylor Brothers and Joseph Love at the base of the bustling Argentine Mining District. The B&B’s residential neighborhood is filled with beautifully maintained homes of the Victorian era and steeped in the rich history of the Old West’s colorful narrative.
The disembodied sound of a woman crying has been heard by multiple guests on the second floor at the top of the front stairway. Current owners have reported experiencing slamming doors and the distinct sense of a male spirit presence in one of the guest rooms. Resident ghost, Elizabeth, is said to be the daughter of one of the first owners and believed to be the crying woman reported by guests.
Ghost Hunters Alan Megargle and Anna Meyer Evans of Ghosts and Ghost Towns and Trails to the Unknown, will lead guests on an exciting adventure that begins with an informative introduction including the basics of ghost hunting, ghost hunting equipment and, perhaps, they will share some of their own chilling experiences.
We are excited to announce that psychic/medium Stephanie Smith with Denver Ghost Hunters will also participate in our investigation and share her experiences within the house.
The event begins at 8:00pm with an introduction, then guests will break into smaller groups to investigate in different areas of the house. Midnight munchies will take place at, well, midnight of course. Munchies and beverages provided. This will be an opportunity for everyone to debrief
For those lucky and brave enough to stay overnight at the Rose Street B&B, check in is at 3:00pm. Accommodations include a home cooked breakfast, please let us know of any special dietary needs. Check out is at 11am. http://clearcreekcounty.org/events/rose-street-bed-and-breakfast-ghost-hunt/

Underground Sound, Beaver Creek
Featuring Flor de Toloache.  Latin Grammy Nominees Mariachi Flor de Toloache make New York City history as its’ First and Only All-Women Mariachi Group. Founded in 2008, Mariachi Flor de Toloache is lead by singers Mireya I. Ramos (founder) & Shae Fiol (founding member). Reminiscent of the early days of mariachi the group started as a trio, Harp, Violin and Vihuela. Today, Mariachi Flor De Toloache performs as a full Mariachi ensemble. The members hail from diverse cultural backgrounds such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Australia, Colombia, Germany, Italy and the United States. This defines their unique flavor and sound. The result of this cultural bouquet is an edgy, versatile and fresh take on traditional Mexican music. They coalesce as would a band of sisters, with a grace and vibrant beauty that casts a spell over their audiences not unlike the legendary Toloache flower still being used in Mexico as a love potion. While working to preserve the centuries old traditions of Mariachi, their melange of the traditional and the modern pushes the boundaries of the genre and brings Mariachi music to new audiences. https://vilarpac.org/underground-sound/

Underground Sound, Beaver Creek
Featuring Lo Moon. The first track on Lo Moon’s self-titled album is ever so gentle in its clarion call. Starting softly with light beats, ’80s synths and the controlled vocals of lead singer Matt Lowell, it eventually erupts in a stadium-ready chorus cry of “This is it! This is it now!” For Lowell and his two main bandmates Crisanta Baker (guitar, bass, keys) and Sam Stewart (guitar), Lo Moon is it: the moment they’ve each individually been working towards their entire musical lives. https://vilarpac.org/underground-sound/
