Gypsum Creek Golf Course – Tee It Up High

Gypsum Creek Golf Course – Tee It Up High

Gypsum Creek Golf Course – Golf is played in some of the most incredible settings in the world. Part of its allure is the sheer beauty of the experience. The time spent with friends in an outdoor wonderland is priceless. Gypsum Creek Nowhere is that more obvious than here in Colorado. We are blessed with some of the finest golf in the world right outside of our back door. Cool nights, warm, sunny days and majestic views in every direction make for a golf experience that is second to none. Our mountains provide a nearly perfect setting to play the game. The demands of everyday life keep most of us indoors, longing for time to breathe the mountain air while we stretch just a bit and try to touch the sky. Golf is the perfect escape. HIGH FIVES FOUNDATION- Grants A $7,985 Handup to Injured Athletes

HIGH FIVES FOUNDATION- Grants A $7,985 Handup to Injured Athletes

In January 2017, The High FivesFoundation disbursed $33,002.50 in Board Approved Grants to 10 athletes in 5 states. In Colorado, The High FivesFoundation has awarded residents Megan Wemmer, Jim Harris and Nathaniel White Board approved empowerment grants totaling $7,985 to aid in their respective recoveries. This money is used as a handup, not a hand out, to deserving athletes that have experienced life altering accidents and serves as a safety net and understanding community for those affected by accidents or illness. Megan Wemmer WHILE ON A BACKCOUNTRY SKI TOUR IN THE ARAPAHOE NATIONAL FORREST WITH HER BOYFRIEND IN FEBRUARY 2015, MEGAN WEMMER WAS SEARCHING FOR HER GLASSES IN THE HUT IN WHICH THEY WERE STAYING. WEMMER WENT TO CLIMB UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR WHEN THE LADDER GAVE OUT, CAUSING HER TO FALL DIRECTLY ON HER BACK FROM 12 FEET IN THE AIR. THE IMPACT LEFT HER UNABLE TO MOVE HER LOWER EXTREMITIES. HER BOYFRIEND IMMEDIATELY HIKED OUT OF THE WILDERNESS AND SENT A RESCUE TEAM TO EXTRACT WEMMER FROM...

Float Therapy – Perfect After A Mountain Escapade

Float Therapy – Perfect After A Mountain Escapade

Floating, a mind and body therapy, has come to Colorado’s mountain town communities and should be considered as a part of your health and wellness repertoire. Once a fad in the 70’s restricted environmental stimulation technique, aka Sensory Deprivation, seems like an archaic term of what I found to be an extremely relaxing experience. Floating is in the midst of a revival and it is being embraced by people of all demographics. Stress – it is today’s reality. We are all overworked and overstimulated, it is a rare moment that we can sit quietly and decompress. Floating is one therapy that allows you to completely relax and literally take a load off both your mind and body. During the float experience people are not submerged in these spas; instead, they float. This is done with a solution of Epsom Salt that increases the water density, allowing the human body to float. Users oat face-up in a relaxed position, with the face above the water and the ear’s submerged. Epsom...
