Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race

Fat Tire Biking and Racing is taking off! Here is a new race for the enthusiast to sign up and have some fun. On Saturday, February 4, the Frisco Nordic Center will be hosting the inaugural Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race. The 8 mile race course will make its way along the groomed trails of the Frisco Nordic Center, marking the first time the Frisco Nordic Center has hosted fat bikes on its trails. The Frisco Freeze is the second race in the Summit Mountain Challenge Fat Bike Series, which is made up of 4 races total including 2 races in Breckenridge and 1 race at Copper Mountain in addition to the Frisco race. The Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4 with an awards ceremony at the Spontaneous Combustion bonfire at 6:30 p.m. There will be five categories of racers: Pro-Open Men, Amateur Men 18-39, Amateur Men 40+, Junior Boys 17 & Under, and Open Women. The Friends of CAIC are proud to host the 9th Annual CAIC Benefit Bash, a benefit for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC), on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. Join us as we come together to support CAIC in their continued efforts in avalanche forecasting and education throughout Colorado. This winter party features live music from Aspen’s Pearl and Wood and The Davenports and incredible beer from the members of Summit County’s United Brewer’s Association (SCUBA).
